I personally do not get why we are not going for HG players that might not be best fit, but more or less acceptable. For example - Tarkowski moved on free in summer.
Are we saying that Lenglet is better or more solid option compared to Tarkowski? I mean I get the theory- Lenglet is much better at ball on his feet. But he is shit in defending.
We could have gone for Madisson instead of Danjuma - more expensive surely, but also proven quality.

His comparison is not Dier. His comparison is Tanganga. We could get much more use out of Tarkowski than from Tanganga, that is obvious. He'd be also more useful in the end than Lenglet.
Tarkowski being better than Tanganga isn't a reason to sign him.
He would only be available for EPL and FA games.

He is a dependable player I would swap for Sanchez in a heart beat. I have rarely seen him put a foot wrong.

This isn't a vote for Tarkowski but people had the same 'old & beneath us' attitude towards Johnny Evans, yet he's shown he would have been a cracking signing.... Ditto when Milner joined the Dippers all those years ago.
The prices for footballers nowadays are fucking ridiculous. While a good player, he isn't even an established international. I'm not sure he's much better than Dier.
