So, we’ll likely limp to the end of the season then bring in a manager (Poch?) who wants to play a different system and have 7 wing backs out on loan next year. By the way, the UEFA loan limit is cut by one next year, so at least one lucky bastard (GLC?) is in for a handsome payout.
I really want Conte to work but the majority of that stems from Jose not winning nothing with us , feel like it’s last chance saloon as if Conte can’t win with us that’s 2 world class

Kane and Son were effective linking up during Mourinho's time with Spurs and the counter attack looked much sharper. Maybe in time Conte's system will work (especially if Porro turns out to be everything the team thinks he will be) but the lack of consistency is maddening. But it is alarming that Porro was that bad defensively. He can't continue to be that awful and stay on the pitch.

It's one game in a new country. Give it a break. Emerson got torn apart by Zaha on his debut last season, and he is very capable defensively.
The difficulty is that we have so much shit that we can't or won't get rid off.
We are reliant on a team that Poch/Jose, well I would say built but it's more made use of and fell into.
Levy and the recruitment aspect has been absolute toilet, no question. But when you have a stubborn, inflexible manager trying to make square pegs go into round holes we will continue to have problems.
If we ARE making losses, and finances are extremely tight, then getting transfers right is crucial. I appreciate accounts can be manipulated, though.
We need to buy the right players to upgrade the team, but we are fucked because we need to replace so many. And all stems from buying nobody in 2018.
We needed new blood, the board and manager said we didn't need to. That we didn't, and essentially need to replace 75% of the players bought since 2019 because they aren't good enough on top of the players they were supposed to replace is why we are in the shit.
And in 2-3 years we will need to replace Kane, sooner if he walks.
But right now, Conte has a job to do and he's paid handsomely for it. I'm not seeing it.

In defence of Conte, whether it’s 5 at the back or 4 we still have a huge weakness defensively and in goal.
Until we can get a keeper that is comfortable sweeping up and distributing, and defenders who can are athletic enough to defend open spaces/1v1 and can pass accurately out from the back we will always be in trouble. We can’t push up nor can we build up.

Conte has been here 18 months, the end of last season when we were stopping teams scoring was mostly down to defenders blocking shoots (davies jumping in to block shots) so Conte must have seen we needed CH's yet he didn't make that P1 in summer and in Januray windows

Spot on said it myself many times. Our squad is fucked after 3/4 transfer windows under fraud patrici who bought in Nuno wanted gatuso and under conte. Who has discard a bunch of players who are better than what we have and not developed anyone. Name one player who has got better. Also his developed no playing style or patterns other than hope harry scores. Just look at Pompey home game we were awful until harry pops with a bit of magic. Other than that we could have played till Sunday and didn’t look like scoring. That v league one team with no manager. The guy is con man making mugs of Tottenham fans. Does he ever apologies to the fans about our shite performances, home record or admit he got it wrong. He blames mentality a lot but his had 15 months to sort that out. Plus if it was that then why do start so many games so slow and don’t even look interested in attacking.
