that was his worst performance in a spurs shirt. looks so blunt at the moment, he really needs to get into the zone and be a lot sharper from the off. its like hes back in italy and thinks he has much more time on the ball.

We're spending WAY too much time with our wide fwds playing with their back to goal. It's seriously compounding Son & Kulu's respective struggles.

not worried because seen enough of him at his best or close too, to know theres a special player there. its like he needs an ice cold slap in the face before kick off to get him fired up and in the zone. hes trying to play too relaxed for my liking and hes off the pace. once he gets sharpened up again i think hell be fine.
he needs to be dropped though not just for his sake, but to actually get rich and danjuma involved. 60m for a bloke who comes on for 10 minutes out of position when chasing a game. its actually mad that son has been allowed to rack all these minutes with his output this year when weve just spent that sort of money on depth.

Kulu can play with back to goal a bit, not like Kane but he was pretty decent last season. He's fairly strong/tall and has quick feet and inginuity to get past people. Kulu is in some ways a slightly budget Kane.
Son is possibly the worst player in the PL to put in that role.
Actually it often seems like Kulu is playing Son's role of running onto long(ish) balls, but Son is dropping deep with back to goal.
I can't help but think it's sabotage by Conte.

I hear you (I said n the past he could make a decent back-up to Kane so long as the movement was good around him); but we're not stretching teams enough to put him in 1-on-1 situations where his upside can come into play.
He's not gonna weave about and play cheeky passes through the lines and/or CBs.
It's like we want him & Son to play like a cross between Eriksen & Emile Heskey, FFS!

Yeah it’s why I am not wanting to blame him and son recently. I actually thought Son looked a bit more sharp last night. I just think we aren’t playing to their strengths and they are playing scared.
Doesn't look recovered after his injury. But picked out of neccessity as we sent our one other vaguely creative player on loan. In any normal club an adequate replacement would be playing and he'd be benched until he was back to full fitness

technically competent player without the athleticism nor any outstanding quality to create space for himself in the PL. You were told this in the beginning and so shall it be in the end.
We should SERIOUSLY consider whether or not to make this permanent as it sets a foreign ceiling (not a HG floor) on our right side - which is bad team building. If we buy at 40-ish million can anyone see teams clamoring for this player at 60M later on? Nope. And since he is so easily bottled up then what's the fuss?
No one will have an answer beyond "but, but, but...we've seen him do things...and shiny objects". He's done things when space was afforded him. And when it isn't, it's new excuse time.

Kulusevski has been a revelation since arriving. Even Pep waxing lyrical about him as a player (probably because he's scored decisive goals against City twice already).

You don't watch Spurs play. If you do, then a blind labrador sees the game better.
Go back and watch how many times Kulu has shaped to cut in then gone byline and created a goal with his right foot. The Bentancur winner against Leeds is an easy one from memory.
