Liverpool are just inconsistent like all the teams in the mix for top4.

Yeah, as middling as we are, it's mad that in a midfield injury crisis our three fit remaining midfielders would get serious minutes in that Liverpool side if available to Klopp this season. Keita, Thiago, Fabinho, Henderson, Chamberlain are just not able to cover ground with the intensity that Klopp's style of football requires. Still think it will be close between us, Newcastle and Liverpool.. we've not really done anything to suggest that we can pull away.

Liverpool faves and rightly so but we have a decent run of games and hopefully we can four or five of the next six - ideally burying that need Potter this weekend

I would say I don't know why they bother, but as my opening comment says, it's to generate clicks. Nothing more.
Things are not exactly going in our favour. Long term injuries , our defence and off form strikers in Son and Richi. Plus an uncertain future for our manager.
If we make 4th again it might be even more remarkable than last season..
The point is, no one will be able to successfully predict anything without knowing every single possible variable to come between now and may.
Heck, we might win every game while Conte rests up and he never comes back. Who knows.

Not sure what you're contesting here.... I've not suggested there's a rosey future afoot........ The prospect of us finishing top 4 was the topic at hand.
The simple fact of the matter are that:
- Chavs & Pool are having a stinker...... That's the reality; regardless of it being a suprise or an outlier to the norm.
- Despite us having a bumpy season we've accumuated enough points so far for us to be where we are.
My bad, I misread the original comment as one about our general future/level..
We've got a decent chance at top four. Newcastle are exceeding all expectations but probably don't have the firepower to turn draws in to wins. Liverpool are the biggest threat probably as the quality is there in the squad to go on a run .. Chelsea are a very long shot as even a mega run would see them struggle to get top four.
