Management Cristian Stellini

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We start a crowdfunding campaign to come up with some $ for various cosmetic procedures that will send Conte around the world for the rest of the season and thus keep Stellini in charge.

Conte is still pulling the strings , although it is strange how we have won every game and not even conceded since he has been gone! :contesideeye:
The thing is, whilst the approach to the games under Stellini is exactly the same as Conte, the execution is completely different. We've controlled every game (?? that I can recall), especially in midfield. Competed for first and 2nd balls winning most of our duels and aren't so much of a jackal and hyde team (1st vs 2nd half performances - whilst we weren't by any stretch great in the 1st half yesterday we weren't being outplayed, we were still in control certainly a 90min performance team now and by not conceding in the first half led to a better platform to win the game from).

I'm actually feeling a bit apprehensive about Conte's return.

Hopefully, his absence might have given him some perspective and he might return with some enthusiasm and a bit more positivity.

It is not just that Stellini listens to the other coaches and makes adjustments. Look at the City Game where Mason suggested Dier move out of the backline and press higher up, they also have Emerson playing the same way he did with Kuluveski at the end of last season where he quite often under laps him. The fact is there is a bit more freedom in Stellini's version of Conte's tactics.

Considering the dog's abuse that Ryan Mason got (maybe still gets), he deserves our recognition and thanks for his work while Conte is sidelined.

Every player who has been asked about Stellini (and Stellini himself) has also namechecked the importance of Mason's contribution.

No Levy is doing the decision making

Stellini is doing great but I find it hard to believe that Conte isn't doing the decision making.
Conte dropped Son in 1 out of 22 matches, immediately bringing him into the side after he scored off the bench. Stellini dropped him in 2 out of 3 matches. Conte was playing Perisic into the ground, even playing him as a forward against Preston for absolutely no reason. Stellini again drops him for 2 out of 3 matches, even when his backup isn't available, he plays Davies at LWB where he hasn't played for years. You can't tell me their selection is the same. Stellini does what the team was crying for for months under Conte: he dropped underperforming players. I'm sure he consults Conte, but Conte likely has an easier time rubberstamping someone else's decisions to drop the players he's clearly attached to, than to drop them himself.

I said awhile back that players and managers highly rate him and he'll probably end up being our arteta one day .

Of course Ryan isn't a cunt also.

However he will need to maybe leave the club first and take on a lower league team but for now he's learning off some great quality.
I assume poch will keep him involved also

It's working out for Carrick right now.

Spent years as an assistant at United under Moyes, LVG, Jose, Solskaer and Ragnick. And he's now doing well as the manager of Boro.

There's no reason that Ryan cannot follow a similar pattern.

He should probably spend a year or so more around the club getting some more experience under his belt. But if he wants a first team gig in 2 years or so I say go for it.

You might be onto something. Remember when the resident nutcase was convinced Conte was being fooled by Mason into picking his mates :mourloopy:

Part of his contract - standard PR clauses

He already got duped by Mason once on Winks
Happened verbally when Conte arrived - Mason told him Winks is a player he can trust
Whilst the demise of Tanguy is very sad - I still think seeing the return of the ENIC rat Mason to the first team as well as nothing players like Winks and PEH starting ahead of him irrespective of form broke his spirit and he literally gave up.

Another reference was made about Royal playing more central and supporting MF. I can't remember who mentioned it but it was in an interview. As far as I know this has only happened under Stellini although he would probably say its Contes idea !
He’d say it’s Conte’s idea because it will be Conte’s decision whether or not they do it.

If it didn’t work Contee would get the blame for it.

If he's saying X is Conte's decision; it's because it is true.........

He's not gonna bullshit in the media and expect to get away with it without Conte noticing.........

On his first morning back it would be "Oi, Stellini; in my office now!"

It's just how it is. Conte is the boss. Stellini may be the best assistant out there the way he's carried the load in his absence but even that goes to justify Conte demanding all his staff come with him. Iirc it was a sticking point in negotiations at one point.

Yes, soz... Perhaps I replied to the wrong post:

There seemed to be a suggestion that Stellini would somehow be bending the truth about who's calling the shots.

This.

This second half of season is nearly turning into a carbon copy of last seasons after a relatively disappointing first half.

Beat City. Lose follow up game. Then go on a bit of a run, gain momentum and get top four.

Happened last season. So far, spot on for this. I don't know why it's come to this or why it's similar, it's as if the players finally realise they need to fucking wake up.
