Strange how we had a really good end of the season last season as well going on a great Run and making top 4, with Conte in charge,
People are reaching to think its because Conte is away we are doing so well, if he could get us to start as strong as we finish we would be in the title race!

We did start as strong as we finished. We took more points from our first 10 games than any other PL season

Nah, we just dicked away far too many points due to individual errors...... Lloris's shit spell literally cost us 9-12 points either side of the WC (inc. a costly loss to Newcastle).

Then consider the gifts in both NLD games.

It's not been pretty but we could easily be in much better shape than we are.

We just aren't good enough to be in the title race or really even close.

It's not like we are an amazing team that is just inconsistent. We are inconsistent because we aren't amazing. And Conte plays the same team over and over and over and over even though they've proven they are inconsistent.

Our big 6 + newcastle record was 0-1-6 until we won the last 2.

Every team has individual errors that occur and the good teams rebound and win games even with the errors. Look at the 2 goals city gifted us right before half at the Etihad. We crawl in to a shell when things are going poorly and it's mostly because we just aren't that good. We are ok.

But we have players than can improve our previous performances IMO.
