Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

JFC you numpties...Folks spilling seed and tears for Dele was understandable* but Kulusevski does not warrant this type of nonsense outpouring.

What is form and what is level folks? The warning signs were there and you were warned from the very start about this player. This is the red-headed Lamela...you jackasses wanted him around for way too long too. Make this move permanent at the club's peril. This foreign player is not good enough and he will not get better as far as the PL is concerned because he doesn't pass the athleticism test of the PL...he is easily bottled up. You were warned so stop making excuses for this player.

One day some of you will actually improve your understanding of the game in proportion to time spent watching it. It's always been the hope but some of you out here performing like Kulu...but like him you keep showing up putting in lamentable (but very predicatable) performances.

*fucking hell that shit went on for too long as well but at least the stuff he was party to went on for a few years and we'd had him from his football toddler stage.

dishonorable mentions

:harrylol:From the same guy that has said so many times, in one guise or another, that Poch can't spot a player. I can't see a world where the ironically name ShutUpPatrik knows what he's talking about.

Is this book self-published? Can't imagine anyone else would waste money on it.
Kulu is obviously an intelligent footballer and picks the right passes and works hard. Its apparently blesphamy to call him slow around here .. but he is. And it hurts us during counters. If we had a midfield that really dominates the games, then its okay to have a slow guy on the side who can pick out good passes. If available for a good price, Id still take him as a squad option.

hes not a counter attacking wide player like we set up. hes a possession based winger like how city play where pace is less important and its more about good technique and I.Q.

another case of this apparent football genius putting square pegs in round holes.

We totally agree on the thrust of your post i.e. he is a technically competent footballer that can contribute under the right circumstances. But so are so many other players on teams lower down the league (e.g. Pascal Gross from Brighton). And that's because his lack of athleticism puts a cap on just how effective he can be and how consistently he can do it. What say we actually get players in that aren't hampered by the base level requirement of the pace and power league?

But the most salient point is that he's foreign and THAT poses another problem that his ability doesn't cover. We have been in a HG bind (or FP bind however you want to look at it) for a few years now and I firmly believe (and predicted) that it will be used window after window to prevent us doing the business we need to do...we gotta get rid of the foreign players that no one wants to buy at DL's prices. We could NEVER get rid of this kid for what we put into him as his performances will not justify it. I guess I'm comfortable saying that because I watched him @ Juve and he wasn't an unknown quantity for me.

This player and Bentancur were a scam pulled by Paratici from the beginning. They were overpriced from the Juve scrap heap and we fell for it. Thankfully we have enough data to support passing on this player going forward. My only hope is that the next coach doesn't make the mistake of keeping him around for 40M so that we have 5 years of "What's wrong with Kulu? He scored goals 5 seasons ago...we need him back to his best".

Inconsistent players are players that aren't good enough. We've got enough evidence on this player...

None of our attacking players playing well, there wing backs barely over laps and there midfield are deep protecting the defense so who do Son Kane or Kulu have to pass to? No one they have to play it back which negates the attack, the set up Conte has used is useless. we need the midfield to push up when we are attacking, anytime hojberg decides to come forward good things happen and he is not even an attacking mid, I have no idea why the haven’t used a back 4, 3 mids with either danjuma or kulu as the AM with three up top,

Revealed: the deal Spurs struck with Juventus to buy Dejan Kulusevski

We might not have a choice in the matter. According to the guardian , it seems like the option to buy was only for last summer which we dont seem to have taken. Now we have an obligation to buy if we qualify for CL.

Very silly to judge any player's form given how dysfunctional shit is with Conte's right now.

We actually have a lot of players that I either like or am keen to see more from.....

The obv. weakest links are obvious; without muddying the water with ideas about who we should initially additonally sell in the summer.

The only real question mark for me is Sonny...........

He is a upgraded Lamela. Which is a good thing.

He is clearly missing his best mate

As much as people have had enough of Conte's system (quite rightly, I have been extremely pro Conte and even I am sick to death of him now), I also think our attack needs to be rebuilt, ideally around Kane and utilising his strength as a facilitator. Imo we should be targeting attackers in the Mane/Salah/Rashford mould - fast, hard working who constantly make runs off the ball and who can finish. We might not be able to get the finished article, but these are the traits. Salah when he was kicking around in Serie A, Mane at Southampton. We need the next ones, maybe only one if Son can get his mojo back (surely he hasn't gone from golden boot to finished in under a year?)

Kulusevski is a good player but if we want to change who we are as a team, I'm not sure he is someone I'd look to as one of our main attackers.

The folks not wanting to take Kulu on a permanent here are laughable. He's literally the only creative attacking hope we have right now in case Kane were to leave.

I thought the move had already become permanent though- shows what I know about the contract spaghetti we've become apparently.

blows my mind how you can watch our games and not think hes good enough. weve seen him at his best and what a fucking player that is. once cunty fucks off kulu will be up there again. hes got that natural short stride pattern that you rarely see but when you do theres always a player attached to it.
