But now that ten game run is looking like the outlier. The other 50 odd games have on the whole been dire boring turgid shite.
Don’t get how a manager pays £15M a yr can “coach” teams to play the type of football he does. You’d expect it from struggling teams with less quality players or from lower end managers. For him to do it with decent players is taking the piss. Added to this his total inflexibility, lack of alternative plans, late or no use of subs, disregard for youth players, etc it’s shocking. Maybe his doing a lot of this bcos he dies t give a shit and is being very well paid so not bothering?
Jason Cundy is convinced Conte has set up Spurs to play 45 minute matches.
I know Cundy hates Spurs but he said the contrast between first and second halves has happened too many times.....it must be deliberate.
I have noticed some teams playing a purple patch in games and scoring 2 or 3 goals in short time. A burst of sustained energy can win a game in 10 or 15 minutes.

Think pretty much every team targets periods of matches to play with more intensity and other periods to try and control the game without having to push too hard.
Our issue was when we tried to control games, we'd make individual errors or get bad decisions from officials, sometimes both.
Cundy also conceded we will get 4th spot but only just !!
I'd put up with any style of football if we won every game.....winning entertains me. Never ascribed to the assertion by those who don't mind losing so long as we play entertaining attacking football, fuck dat.

That we're in 4th is of course something positive. But I also want to look forward to the next game. And I don't at the moment. I dread it. I was looking forward to the next game under Pochettino and Harry. Not now. Conte is slowly killing my entusiasm för Spurs, pretty sad.
