Laporte would be an upgrade on what we have but he seems a bit of a Leglet type who can't do the main job of a defender very well. He's also turning 29 very soon, with an extensive injury history.
I’d want him to play as more of a defensive LB like he used to for City, than as a partner to Romero. But the injuries could be concerning yeah. He does provide experience and winner mentality in the back line though regardless

I doubt if top 4 changes loads, as we never budget to assume CL in future revenue, but we will have a full season new stadium revenue and this season's CL money in the pot.

Napoli, Milan, Dortmund, RBL, Brighton etc etc - good teams can be built for reasonable money - but you need the right structure and the right coach to get the best out of it.

There are players I like in varying degrees, some cheaper, some more expensive, some I like a lot some a little. But we've got to prioritise some creative/attacking players for midfield/AM/FWD as we are totally bereft. I’m probably forgetting some but these are a few off the top of my head.

Kvaratskhelia
Mitoma
Brandt
Olise
Eze
Pullisic
Buendia
Leao
M Thuram (BMG)
Wirz
Diaby
Moukoko
Majer (Rennes)
K Thuram (Nice)
Bellingham

FB’s
Frimpong (Leverkusen) RB
Henrique (Monaco) LB
Truffert (Rennes) LB
T Hernandez LB/LWB

6’s
Kone (BMG) 6
Caicedo 6

I'll have to mull on the CB's. But I've got no left field names that haven't already been mentioned I don't think.
I'd add Kolo Muani to that forward list as well. Numbers wise, he might be as close to Kane as we can get.

If we go to a back 4 manager, yes we will?

Not if he's an attacking manager like most are hoping.

Porro (Spence)
Udogie (+ a potential return of Reguillon)

Feels all too obvious and balanced to me..... 3 of those 4 all bought by the same DOF..... Not an accident (Ever Emerson was considered attacking before he arrived).

Upgrades at CB & GK + plenty of steel in the middle and we're off to the races.

Is Pau Torres good? I remember watching him at the World Cup and his positioning being off keeping players onside.

You should ask tommyboyspurs tommyboyspurs - He was his "dream signing" for all of five minutes.... Then he became attracted to the next shiny thing he saw on his FIFA computer game.

Are we getting the band back together?
