If we get JN its most definitely a rebuild. Hopefully the board will support him and the fans will give him a couple of years to get things like he wants them
I think rebuild, project and win-now are all pretty arbitrary terms we throw out when talking around this manager issue. We have Romero, Dier*, Davies* Porro, Emerson, Spence*, Udogie*, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Bent, Bissouma, Sarr*, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Kane, Son all plenty good to be part of a competitive team or extended squad*. you sign the right 2/3/4 players and eventually convince Kane to extend his contract, a Nagelsmann, Tuchel etc can give you a good team next year than can place 4th and win a cup if prioritized. Challenging doesn't and might never mean PL winning.. but to have a desire to succeed here, play a fun style, be there and abouts in the league and contend in cups, have an exciting European run is all we can expect from a manager.

I think the clubs view on the field will always be 1-2yrs (and next year's CL money) .. at least for the foreseeable... a scientific squad structure 2/3/4 year build is sci-fi stuff and I don't expect it.

I’d prefer JN to Tuchel only because he is yet another chav reject. In all honesty though I have zero expectations whilst the owners are incumbent. Admittedly Conte can be squarely blamed for the side put out against Sheff Utd and certainly his single minded tactics against AC were not the owners fault but, well you know…

Not necessarily.

I just don’t think Poch is going to happen. If we wanted him, he’d already be announced.

There's obviously doubts over Poch, imv.

How his tenure ended. How poor his PSG run was in the end in comparison to other coaches before and since and the fact that between those jobs, no one has really been interested in him.

It's not often a manager is out of work as much as Pochettino has been. And if we don't get him and Madrid don't want him then what? He's just going to do some punditry until someone actually decides to want him again?

Proper Spurs you! Love it.

Excellent movie btw

And given how much Poch seems to really want to manage Madrid. I would almost prefer that he comes back after he has had a shot at that. Or completely given up on that dream.

That way he won't try to leave the moment they flash their knickers at him.

I also don’t think Nagelsmann is a high enough profile for Madrid, so not buying that they are keen on him.

Nagelsmann got the Bayern gig as the next German wunderkid, but that doesn’t translate to Spanish football.

I think RM’s next big move will be for Klopp.
