Tricky to do this summer ?

Bentancur currently expected to be out until November leaving Hojbjerg, Bissouma and Skipp as our experienced CM's with Sarr looking good but no PL experience, so an injury to one of the first 3 and we look a little light until Bentancur is fit.

Doubt we'll see much of any quality out of him until the new year..... And that's as long as everything goes well....

What about a year of Zlatan before he finally calls it a day?

Know he's getting on a bit, but Griezmann would be an unreal addition. That new role he's playing for France, as a hybrid 8-10, man that suits him to a tee. Such a pass-first player, proper team-minded, real creative, can break defences with passes and runs, can score, can take set pieces...and boy he tracks back and tackles as if his life depended on it. Sounds like a bit of a tool off the pitch but on it, nothing to say about his skills or attitude.

Imagine him playing behind Harry and with last season's Kulu & Sonny on the wings, and with Roddy + Skippy behind him.

And he wouldn't cost the earth, I reckon

Not expensive, you say??

He's 32, his best years are behind him. And though his contract with Atletico runs til 2026, they need money and a full squad revamp...knowing Simeone is likely off at the end of the season and the new guy will want his own players.

So yeah, I reckon Griezmann could be done for 30mil + bonuses. Even 40 for a player of his calibre is good value.

Money aside, he's exactly the type of player we desperately need

How can we really know who we want in when we don’t even know who the manager will be?

That’s why I’d prefer a new manager came in now rather than at the start of the preseason. Let them work things out in real games and then give them the summer to bring in the players they need (well…in theory…you know…Levy…) Otherwise we just end up with a team of misfits.

Saw him play this season in the Metropolitan against Sevilla. Was hoping to see Lamela and Gil but Grizou was unplayable. If he's allowed to play a free role, he's possibly the second most technically gifted player in football after Messi.

Could work for a Conte/Jose team in the prem.If you want pressing and winning the ball back quickly, he's not your guy. Not sure he fits with Kane either, plays in alot of the spaces Kane is really good in.

Good players find a way.
