Thinking Think GIF by Rodney Dangerfield

Then we end up with Mason.
Knowing levy we end up with moyes, after spam sack him to bring Potter in

this guy plays 3-1-4-2 lol! I'll take it!

Son (Gil) Kane (Richarlison)

Perisic (Udogie) Hojbjerg (new AM) Kulusevski Porro

Skipp (Bissouma)

Lenglet (New CB) Dier (New CB) Romero

Forster (New GK)
who does?

looks like he will join but needs time off so only at the end of the season.

Make it happen and stick with Conte until then. The only other interm option would be Mason as nobody else would take an interm role knowing that Nagelsmann is coming.

Would prefer Mason until end of the season and then new guy/Nagelsmann than Conte continuing.

Also if Conte gets Top 4, he's able to extend his contract by a year and due 15m.

Can't see any world where Conte comes back, as funny as it would be.

Looks like he mainly plays 4-2-3-1 but good to see he's actually willing to change formation occasionally

I’m honestly quite curious as to how so many people think that Nagelsmann is some kind of magical answer to our current situation. His time at Hoffenheim and Leipzig was impressive but those clubs are very different to genuine big clubs, where the strong and leading personalities are many and complex. How would he cope working with the direction and restrictions of Levy, whoever is DoF and other club personnel? Can he get credibility and buy in from key senior players like Kane, Romero? Poch knows the politics and the people. If he’s refreshed and ready to work within the set-up and take us forward coaching and growing youth as well, isn’t that a more logical option? Nagelsmann seems to have a lot of the personal naivety of AVB and his falling out with players and staff at Bayern are a huge red flag for me.

I can't help thinking that Levy will continue to break managers whoever gets the job. We have just had two serial winners that could not inspire these players to win a trophy, getting knocked out to inferior teams in cups.
Realistically we can only win the League Cup or the F A Cup but these are always sacrificed for the Holy Grail of 4th place. Levy will never countenance the lost revenue of lifting one of these and sacrificing UCL money. It never occurs to him that these two aims are not mutually exclusive so it has always been top four at all costs.
To this end Levy has espoused mediocrity on the pitch, buying players of average ability, missing out on better to save a few million. This has caused our best players to leave the club to win trophies.
All our best players who left the club won trophies.
It will never change as long as this ethos pervades the club.
Truly, To Earn Is To Do.

If he was naive, the way Bayern just fired him probably killed any naivety he had left.

He did piss off Kahn though so that would be something to watch with Levy.

I think it could be argued we are a Leipzig level club. Not in history certainly but bobbing around behind the biggest clubs.

We’re not a genuine big club, like Bayern.

In terms of status, we’re closer to Hoffenheim and Leipzig. We’ve been hiring ‘super’ managers when we’re not a ‘super’ club.
