Enzo Le Fee looks nifty, quite gritty for his size, height will probably limit what top clubs will take the chance on him. Have really liked the look of Rouault the few times I've seen him. Seen much of Albon Lafont? Seems to tick a or of boxes for gk. Cherki could end up a really top level player if attitude can match his ability. Thuram will be a good player for yrs to come.. good fit for any squad.
With a year left on his contract in the summer Lafont could be a good option.

He got a perfect 10 from L’équipe for a game against PSG! And they are very tight with their ratings.

He gets bonus points for turning down Woolwich when he moved to Fiorentina!

Not in our current set up.

Paratici is picking the players. It's up to the manager to make those players work.

Another reason Conte hasn't worked out here.

Sure we brought in Perisic (on a free) for Conte, but everyone else brought in this past window was a club signing.
You don’t know that (on either who picks the players or club signings). Fair to assume Spence wasn’t wanted but can’t believe Conte was at the very least supportive of the others.

By club, it means Levy

If we miss top four then I honestly do not care if we make a summer signing if it means we can finally sell deadweight. We are so desperate to clear out some guys it should be the top priority.

Dier, Winks, Ndombele, GLC, Lloris, Sanchez, Perisic, Sessegnon, Moura, Lenglet. A few are leaving already due to loans expiring or contacts ending but the rest need sold.

Back from loan that could give squad depth: Rodon, Spence, Scarlet, White, Parrot, Udogie, Reguilon.

I have not watched Reguilon or Rodon at all on loan so no idea if they have improved but due to lack of depth, they could be useful if it means getting current players out.
5 of those will be going back out on loan.

I actually watched Le Fee play earlier this season, but hadn’t paid much attention to him, I seem to remember him being a tenacious little fucker who was technically good. But since caught other bits and bobs of him and quite like what I see.

I’ve seen loads of Rouault, he’s got some very likeable qualities, I just wonder if the physicality of the PL might be an issue, certainly right now.

Likewise Lafont, saw loads of his first few seasons, in which I would have said he had some great raw goalkeeping attributes (shot stopping, agility, bravery) but mentally could be a bit excitable (a bit like Pickford) and his decision making could be a bit erratic at times. The bits and bobs I’ve seen of him in the last 2-3 years he seems to be maturing a bit but not seen enough to know how much.

This makes Levy's balls tingle.

If we go back to an attacking manager, i believe with one transfer we could be effective again.

I don't know who the best left-footed centre-backs are but let's assume it could be Garvidol, Bastoni or Torres.

In a 4-2-3-1

Lloris
Porro-Romero-New CB-Udogie
Bentencaur-Bissouma
Kulusevski-Kane(Shadow Striker) Son
Richarlison

That team with a positive mind set is not half bad.

Yes we could improve on it but as a starting point...

France looked great yesterday. Nearly everyone in the squad is 23-26 years old (apart from Griezmann, Rabiot, Giroud and the keepers) so there’s a lot of progression to come from the group too.

Here are some great young players who haven’t had a cap yet.

Islam Meslier - Leeds. Coming up for 2 years left on contract. If Leeds go down then I think we should go for him. Capped at U21.

Lucas Chevalier - Lille’s first choice keeper this season and he’s just 21 (he was 20 at the start of the season).

Mohamed Simikan - very physical, aggressive centreback. Similar to Romero but not as good on the ball. Would love him as a Dier replacement. Maybe the one player on this list I would most like.

Anthony Rouault - I don’t know what’s happening in France but it’s centreback after centreback. 21 year old at Toulouse and already got 76 appearances. He needs one more club before he’s ready for a big club. I’d like to see him go to Germany.

Manu Koné - 21 year old CM. Starter for Borussia Mönchengladbach. We don’t need a CM desperately… he’s a bit too similar to Bissouma but with a touch of Ndombele’s dribbling. I think he will become a top player in a couple of years. High energy box to box and in the 99th percentile for successful dribbles in top 5 leagues. He’s excellent on the ball but also off the ball - second only to Jude Bellingham for duels won in Bundesliga.

Khephran Thuram - dm at nice but has been played at 10. Got his first cap for France yesterday. Not a position we need. Will shine somewhere else. Would make a great replacement for the rapist at Woolwich.

Desiré Doué - next big thing out of Rennes. They are playing really great football and he is a big part of that. He’s 17. I think we would ruin him so I’d rather he go to Real Madrid in 2024.

Two other 17 year olds, Mathys Tel (Bayern) and Zaïre-Emery (PSG) are already destined to only play at super clubs.

Maghnes Akliouche - talented attacking midfielder. Not getting enough minutes at Monaco and wants a move.

Khalil Fayad - this guy passed a baccalaureate so he’s smart for a footballer. Who cares but it shows he’s probably got a good support system which many other french talents don’t (like his teammate Eye Wahi). He’s France U21 captain too so he seems like a leader. He’s still just 18 but has appeared in 19 out of 28 games for Montpellier this season and has two assists. He is a central midfielder but with more attacking than defensive tendencies (whereas our midfield currently has central midfielders more comfortable defending). I don’t think I’ve seen his name mentioned as a wonder kid but he is one to watch.

Alan Virginius - 20 year old winger at Lille. Needs another 18-24 months to play and grow but he’s at a good club for it. He is right footed but plays off the left wing. If we sold Son in 2024 then he would be a good replacement. But I’d rather give Gil a chance!!

Rayan Cherki - My most controversial take. The guy is 19 and plays regularly for Lyon as an attacking midfielder. 3 goals and 4 assists. He’s playing for France U21 against England U21 today. Sell Kane if he doesn’t want to sign a new contract and bring this guy in if we get a manager committed to youth.

There’s too many good young players bouncing around. You can also watch Enzo Le Fée and Kalimuendo later against England U21. Both with good stats in ligue un.

U21's Absolutely battered by our brave lions. Agincourt all over again.

Hard to compare because of age differences.

Some players similar or a touch behind like Fayad, Akliouche or Rouault.

Others rougher but with higher ceilings like Doué, Zaire-Emery and maybe Chevalier.

Others comfortably ahead although older like Thuram and Koné.

Cherki is ahead and the same age.

Thing with Sarr is he needs minutes. He’s a talented kid but if he had 25 league 1 starts this season he’d probably be ahead of where is now with us.

Sarr has had about 60 Ligue 1 appearances for Metz over last 2 seasons when aged 18/19 - he's still only 20 - agreed he's only made about 10 appearances for Spurs this season (mainly off bench) due to Conte not trusting younger players - but he was a known quantity to benchmark other Ligue 1 players in last 2 seasons.

In some ways his first season was his best - last season he seemed to be moved round the team playing in different positions (eg LW) possibly due to other players availability which limited his effectiveness in his best position which seems to be as a cm.

Be interesting to know how Sarr ranked, particularly 2 seasdins ago.

Yes, bonus points for that, but I'm still not convinced he is - or will be - at that level we need.

Maignan would be my preferred choice, but I doubt he's gonna leave AC this summer...and if he did, there's no doubt he'd have more appealing options than us (mainly Bayern and Utd...even Newcastle, cause they'd pay the higher wages). His injury record worries me a bit too, but might just have been bad luck.
