Raya is HG I'd imagine that's a huge factor in the decision. He's also statistically the best shot stopper in the PL this season.

I'd be happy with him. Having a keeper and defenders who avoid basic gafs would be a good start.

I think Lloris is on the small side for a GK.

I think if other attributes can benefit a team, a goalkeepers height unless obscenely small, is not going to matter too much.

Navas is 6 ft 1, Lloris is 6 ft 2, Casillas was 6 ft, Ederson is 6 ft 2, Dean Henderson is 6 ft 2, Pickford is 6 ft 1, Ramsdale is 6 ft 2 etc.

Raya has been excellent all season for Brentford and being HG is a big help.

Raya, Kim Min Jae, Hincapie would be key summer targets for me.
If it is Raya then fair play.

100% agreed on 2 CBs being the other targets.

I think one needs to be homegrown, hence the Guehi links.

Min Jae will be a release clause or bust so at least we will know quickly if it's happening. Maybe Son could help persuade him?

Probably other targets depend on Kane sticking around.

I'd make Alex Scott a priority regardless.

Doesn't look it next to Porro.

He's sub 6ft unless his posture is really bad but more to the point, wingspan doesn't look there either.

That'll just be photo angles I'd imagine ... he looks about 6 foot ish in games imo. And he's got fantastic reflexes/agility to make up for a lack of wingspan. Means that he may decline earlier than the likes of Buffon or Neuer, a bit like Casillas, but he's really mobile and pro-active as a keeper. Very quick off his line, there's pro's and cons to being a bit more agile. We know he can handle the Premier League's physicality already - he's been there, done that and been hugely successful.

I don't think he's top, top tier but would be OK with it.

If we want to win things we need a top top GK. Even if you get one that has a ceiling that high and let them develop. It's a priority position. Maybe THE priority after strikers.

Right now the way Raya is being described is: homegrown so we can have more options elsewhere, cheaper because his contract is running out. Also a decent enough keeper.

Doesn't sound like a priority recruitment, sounds like an opportunity recruitment. Classic Spurs liking what they can afford instead of affording what they like.

I dunno what genuinely 'elite' gk prospects there are. Some good clubs are after Raya and he's getting in to the Spain side. I'd say he's been one of the better PL keepers this season and he would suit a manager who wants to play on the frontfoot.

HG and contract running out is more a bonus .. if we spent 40-50m on him it wouldn't be totally outrageous, he is good.

If he is the one they choose then fair play, I'll go in open minded. Just not bought in based on the criteriaa he's been chosen by.

At least he's not Pickford. That much I'm happy about.

Tbh I can't seriously offer you an alternative because I haven't watched any that hard. Maignan was very good against us in CL. Meslier has a young Courtios about him.
