Disagree.... Sounds conspicuously like the tail wagging the dog to me.

If Kane 'honours' us by staying we should shape our DOF and managerial appointment around him?

Not for me; I'd much rather decide upon a vision and then decide if Kane fits it...... Then if he does and decides he wants to be part of it then happy days.

I'm skeptical of any "vision" that rejects a player of Kane's caliber.

Productive strikers are the hardest thing in the world for a club to find and keep hold of, so any manager that rejects Kane has already half set themselves up for failure.

If his contract wasn't at this current empass I'd 100% agree with you .

Kane is a tactically unique, financially valuable, and nearly 30 year old player.

The squads with Kane on a new megabucks 4-5 year deal versus an 80M sack of money where Kane used to be are two very very different scenarios just in terms of tactical options and transfer market needs, to say nothing of what those differences mean narratively in terms of the Spurs project and its time horizon.

There's an understandable desire to have some sense of stability and engagement with a longer term vision. A "project" as the saying goes. We need to be honest about the major hurdles and decisions need to even get to the starting line of something like that.

And while having DOF or manager input on it would be all well and good if the timing works out, fundamentally those are club-level decisions. It's silly to pretend that wouldn't be Levy's call, even if Levy were at a more appropriate remove from football operations.

Harry Kane is a big deal.

yea son is a proper barca player. tiki taka son HAHAH. this is about as true as winks to city for 50m.

he'd last as long there as donkey boy ADAMA did. they value technique and intelligence, playing quick football and triangles. son cant play simple football let alone one touch moving triangles.

He won't play in the midfield, he will be the spearhead.

If Son is at the end of half the chances created by the rest of the Barca players , he will score more than the best striker in la liga.
