Would you take De Zerbi? He's proving himself at Brighton.

I think we’re in a position where we need to take gambles on managers who have shown signs of potentially being world class in the future. Going for someone like Rodgers shows no ambition to me.
I don't particularly want Rodgers but there is an argument that he has a been relatively successful every where he has been, hasn't always ended well but that happens to every manager otherwise none would be out of work or ever lost there job

It just seems so obvious. Listen to him here and it is miles away from the nonsense of Mourinho or Conte. He just is so much more sensible. I'm quite baffled why we don't seem to want him.

I suspect that he himself has not committed to coming back yet.

Ancelotti's job at Real Madrid may come to an end this summer. And Poch is pinned as one of the main names to get it. And we know that he has Madrid as his dream club job. So as long as that is in the air he may want to keep his options open. And all the shitposting by Jesus is to keep his name out there and possibly as a way to bait Madrid into acting.

Just my two cents.

This thread was posted in February 2022. Be good if we can reset the poll and start over, even allow multiple selections. Admin Admin

For two years, I would back him to pivot from dour, defensive counter attacking to more of a forward playing, attacking side. We need both investment and a difficult transitional period from a coaching perspective - these fucks have been v comfy with passive, low block and low risk football and it needs to be set on fire. I back Rodger’s to do it for a short period, he’s a good coach

Hasn't he said that he is staying until 2024? Although, like with us, you never really know with that club.

So winning trophies is secondary to you? You can’t run a Brighton model in the PL selling your best players and win trophies against teams that can spend 100m+ every season.

You can have an exciting team that play gold football and feel a sense of attachment to the team. If that’s what you want then it’s a great idea.
Mon ami, let's start with a free piece of advice from me to you: from now on, whenever you interact with anybody on here (or even in real life), get down from your pedestal first...it'll help you see things a wee bit clearer and not talk sooooooooo much garbage. That'd make a nice change.

Did I say winning trophies were secondary to me? Nope. Never. Unlike you, I've been following Spurs for donkeys years...and it's not even cause I'm older, if you catch my drift. Anyway, over the past two decades, all we won was the friggin milk cup. So you bet your derriere I'm dying for a beautiful FA Cup win. Fuck me, I'd have been over the moon had we won the friggin ECL or that Carabababooo Cup again.

But call me an idealist/utopist/dreamer whatever, I want us to win in style. Some teams do it. Like the two I mentioned in my previous post.

And at the end of the day, even if we don't win another trophy for x years, I and zillion other true Spurs fans would bite your hand off for a return to the swashbuckling days of not-so-old. Right now, we've got neither style nor substance. But of course, it's got nothing to do with your Bald God. After all, it's not his job to decide on and implement a long-term strategy, or positive company culture.

I haven't been paying much attention - needed to switch off from spurs after that everton game. Has there been anything more concrete or is it just the usual speculation

Poch, Nagelsmann or Slot for me, while De Zerbi or Potter would be acceptable for me.

Nagelsmann gets bonus points tonight after that Bayern performance.

Unlike others, I actually like the fact that De Zerbi is a prick.
I still think Potter is a decent manager, the only problem I have with him is that he's ex-Chelsea.

A big NO to Luis Enrique, Rodgers, Thomas Frank or Marco Silva.
