Management Cristian Stellini

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Because they want a job? If they don’t want to take it that’s fine. But “considering” and “monitoring” and “weighing up” will lead us to another Nuno situation. Make them the offer and move on if they decline.

If they don’t want to take the job when top 4 is still achievable they sure as fuck won’t want to take it when this PE teacher takes us to 8th place and Harry Kane joins United.

Don’t get me wrong, it will be very difficult to persuade any good manager to work with Levy. But we can surely try harder than we are currently doing. By this point last season United had already locked in Ten Hag for next season. It doesn’t seem like we are actually in discussions with anyone. No doubt due to the Paratici situation which again, Levy must have known was coming and completely failed to prepare for.

I think the top guys would want a fresh start and their players more than any position in the league. No one wants to tarnish their name with this mess right now. I don't think settling for the guy who would come late in the season in lieu of the RIGHT hire is a good idea. I think we just have to accept the pain that this late season is going to be and hope that our guys have enough character to respond.

so I imagine that our problem is stellini now.

He isn't per se. But he isn't the solution either. Not even in the short term. Regardless how many other problems we have, at the very least we should look to go into the summer and next season with something resembling pride, or failing that do our utmost to avoid doing so with a downbeat feeling in the squad.

That falls on Levy and he has to pull the trigger on this one. Right now. It's untenable. In fact, if he doesn't, we're in even bigger trouble than any of us feels right now, because it would mean Levy cannot admit to a huge blunder.

Do you know the funniest thing? He's not good enough, of course he's not. He's not equipped to be a manager, he's just an assistant coach. We are asking too much of him and I feel kind of bad that he got thrown into the wolves.

However, he did what we were screaming him to do, which is play a back 4. And now he came out and said that it's his responsibility.

This performace today isn't on him. That's on the players. He could be the worst manager in the World, and that still wouldn't be enough to put the blame on him.

I dont know if the pressure got to him from players etc but to play 4 at the back today with defenders missing wasn't a good move. Perisic at LB and next to the immobile dier was a disaster.

I'm genuinely unclear what he thought he was accomplishing with the tactical changes.

Newcastle are the most intense pressing team in the division and were going to be well up for this game and all over us. Was he trying to establish more possession with 3 in the midfield? Who knows.

No one knew what space to close down in that shape, the hesitancy was obvious in every player. A total failure of coaching during the week.

Tight Levy tried to save a few quid keeping this bastard on and it will end up costing us more in European football loses and PL placings.

The footballing incompetence of those at the top knows no bounds.
