6 games mate, not 7. There isnt much left to the season. There isnt much left to aim for. Just let it play out. The best thing we can do is get the new manager in right away so he gets a chance to see what we should get rid of in the summer, instead of wasting the first half of next season.
I don't expect a cup final, I expect a trophy and that expectation remains the same no matter who our manager is. Even in our most desperate mid-table days, I wanted a trophy.
We'll see where our squad is at the start of next season. There will have to be changes but, at this stage, it's too early to comment or even speculate on what will happen. I'm still hopeful that we can hang on to Kane; the top tier winning clubs aren't biting and I'm not sure Chelsea or Man United are any closer to a title challenge or CL glory than we are.
Imagine if he has a positive impact and turns things around though, what a story that would be.

How is Mason going to get a tune out of shit players like Dier, Lloris, Sanchez etc? There is no turning anything around mate. The season is over and the team have mentally checked out. We might not concede 5 in the 1st 20 mins against United but that’s about the only impact he will have. We will get absolutely pulverised by both united and Liverpool. Frankly, I couldn’t give a shit either.

6 matches with zero pressure, get valuable information to prepare for next season. If Poch signs up with the Chavs but doesnt feel the need to go in right away and see things early..then he hasnt changed from the happy loser that he used to be.

If you wear a club suit and get a seat close to the technical area on thursday there's a good chance you could be in the job for the Liverpool game on the weekend.

It will be interesting what changes Ryan can or will make system and tactics wise. Also effort and energy wise. He might still have his hands tied to an extent injuries wise.
Might be tempting to bring a few of the U23 group into the squad. They play 4 @ the back and potentially could see the switch happen if he adds in one of them or Tangana ( who could play RB )
One other observation is that the 3-4-3 might be uniquely Conte, but when our players go on International duty they don’t get to play that way, and often seemingly revert to 4 / 5 back lines without drama.
So it’s as much about attitude and endeavour as it is about tactics and know how. That’s Mason’s key I think, getting into their minds. Based on 2021 Mason should not however have been given this role. But I recognise others disagree.
But even if Mason went 1-10-0 @ Anfield we are still getting pumped, and 7th / 8th is most likely now.
