Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

EDIT: They just played another clip.......... He did also say that there had been instances where Levy did have influence on the basis of player 'talent' which could prove a conflict of interest, but then brought the statement back round to the suggestion that his concerns still were on the business end of the deal.

Funnily enough TS are now spinning this as a "smoking gun"; completely ignoring the catagoric statement about Poch's clout.

Err..yes. OK Daniel :mourweird:

"there were times at Tottenham we had players in the building that maybe we should have potentially signed that would have helped Poch at that time, that didn’t go through, through various aspects, I wasn’t always privy to the final details of that but there were questions being raised that I think sometimes that I think if we would have acquired that player at that certain time, it could have steered Tottenham in a different direction at that time"

:sonlol:

Former Spurs scout (2015-2017) David Webb on TS atm.......

"Pochettino had final say on players and the scouting criteria was driven by how he wanted to play"

"Levy insisted on being involved and informed as to the final stages of the recruitment process; esp. with specific regard to price etc."

Sounds like all the additional conspiracies were just fan bluster afterall.
not sure why

Just because my daughter is given free choice on the clothes she wants - doesn't mean I'm going to buy them all.

Already been posted and debated in the Levy / ENIC thread where it belongs.

Even more confirmation of what the more rational posters on here have been saying for years.
Every manager Levy appoints has to settle for 3rd or 4th choice budget alternatives.

No wonder they all become brassed of and end up as his human shield with the sack.

As is the process at most clubs.

What it also scotches once and for all is the notion that Levy was going out and picking players based on MOTD and signing them without anyone's input.

How fucking sweet would it be if he played them along...then said no. And got the Madrid job🤣

If you were him you'd definitely be waiting to see what happens there now, as it is no secret they have wanted him before. Another bad result for them last night and if they go out against Man City in the Champions League, I really wouldn't bet on them sacking him there and then.

It would be fucking funny at this stage.

If we wanted Poch, he would join us in a heartbeat - I've got no doubt about that at all.

I get why some may have misgivings, I do...but FUCK YOU LEVY, CULLEN AND CO.

If the club genuinely think they can get a Nagelsmann and say Rangnick and are serious about fixing the identity, recruitment and ‘DNA’ I can accept it even if it does hurt from a emotional perspective.

If it’s because they don’t wants to admit they got it wrong with Poch and are happy with managers inferior to Poch (which is pretty much most of them bar Naglesmann) then we are buggered.
