ENIC In or ENIC Out

Ironically, both times we have brought in coaches that are bigger than the club (Conte, Jose) and given them and their mates control, it has been a disaster.

I have a feeling that ENIC will want the new coach to be less egotistical and confronting.
Ironically we got two success now managers without actually giving them any good players.

We've spent £492m in the last four years apparently, on what?

Levy has maintained the talented squad bullshit for too long. It's wank. We have maybe three top quality players and more wank than a sperm bank.

No Poch and no JN, by the looks of things, Levy is wandering into Last Chance Saloon for me. Hopefully he comes back out, having had a couple of pints, with a manager who believes it’s an honour to represent our club, not with a fat slag desperation job at closing time.

Huge couple of months coming up here, nothing less than a quality managerial appointment, a quality DoF, shifting a number of shite players and a couple of strong signings will do.
How many chances do you wanna give them?

How long have you been a spurs fan? You know none of that will happen. Its started already if Levy was seriously interested in making spurs competitive Nagelsmen would be manager now. Instead we have this rudderless football club, unlikely to get any kind of European football.

This is their last chance until the next time they fuck up, then it will be their last chance again, and again after that and again after that.

Actually, it's closer to 700m.

I'm sorry, but none of these seem like bad buys and, I am sure all would be successful at other clubs.

Romero, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Gil, Royal, Udogie, Bentencaur, Kulusevski, Porro, Richarlison, Bissouma.

The issue runs deeper than the players and the coach's quality.

Hopefully some ex players can shed some light on this. We heard from Trippier that he was desperate to leave... And in fact pointed to the negative fan base as a primary factor.

They're not bad buys, there's decent players in there with a lot of them, the issue is that the club have ridiculously chopped and changed strategy so much we have a mish mash of players and the last 3 coaches didn't get anywhere near enough out of them as far as coaching is concerned so a lot of them have either stagnated or gone backwards.

I think since Poch left, the culture at Spurs has a lot to be desired.

I just find it baffling how little forward thinking there seems to be as a club from a football standpoint. Clearly Levy is very forward thinking from a business standpoint. It's not that hard to have freaking contingency plans with people you already know and like. Brighton had De Zerbi lined up. Just more example of why he needs to get TF away from the football side. Not even just the laughable manager searches. But the DOF. It's not a secret Paratici was being investigated. We even had time after we appealed. Yet it seems like we are the last to know. And the search for the next guy doesn't even begin until the last guy is fired.
Reactive never proactive the Enic way

The fans are the primary factor in us being in decline, now I’ve heard it all . I appreciate you are quoting Trippier , although I don’t recall that quote . I. recall him saying the dressing room atmosphere was toxic though .
Next thing it will be Levy is doing great in spite of the fans

Levy has had 23 years of on the job learning , more than 30 if you include the other clubs ENIC failed at . World’s highest paid and least successful nepotism intern Is how I see him , but it is all-the fault of Stan sitting in block 122 row 10
Strewth the defence of Levy gets ever more bizarre

I think the problem is we have brought in coaches bigger than the club and not given them control.

A top class centre half for either Jose or Conte would be an indicator they had control.

Negative fanbase? We have the SOFTEST fucking fanbase in world football for fuck sake, we sit back and allow failure after failure with barely a whisper!

Also, I don't remember Trippier ever saying that, going to need some receipts I am afraid.

You can blame our supporters for allowing the ineptitude of the ownership to continue unchallenged and that is a direct contributor to our failure but you cannot blame the supporters for the poor decision making being made by Daniel Levy.

Trippier certainly mentioned being booed by the fans over a period when he was self admittedly not performing that well. Honestly cannot recall him citing that as a reason for leaving though.

We do have a soft fanbase, yet it’s a vociferous one. So many in here and in the ground that are like the pissed up chancer in the pub, giving it big mouth to everyone. But you all know that when it comes to the crunch, he’d shit himself and do nothing.

Same here. Lots of shouting, booing and singing at the ground. So many angry people on here. And very few actually doing anything about the situation they claim to be so angry about. All mouth.

When Trippier was sold he was rubbish. I don't know why we always seem to feel nostalgic and try to attach some fond memory to players who underperform. If you play rubbish, you play rubbish. Trippier had to go. It made him a better player for it. Had he stayed he could've be Wnayama or Deli Ali.

The problem wasn't Trippier leaving, the problem was not replacing him with someone better. That's on LEVY. It's a cycle that he Loves to repeat. Eriksen, Ali, Trippier, Vintage Rose Alderweirld, Vertonghen....... He has replaced Derren Anderton or Ledley King or Teddy Sheringham as yet, why are we looking for other reasons for our failure?

Not sure what you read in my post that elicited this response?

I never said Trippier leaving was a problem. Didn’t say he wasn’t underperforming.

I would say Levy has a hand in us not replacing Trippier properly. Or even not replacing Walker properly. Or any other player properly. But it’s a hand. There’s many hands at play when it comes to recruitment. I’m just not that keen on blaming one wee fella when there’s plenty involved and whilst life is hardly full of definites.
