BFS if Leeds stay up?
Imagine it.
It will be...........................fucking glorious.
Nothing could unite the fanbase against Levy like bringing that wanker in.
There'd definitely still be 3-5 on here fighting Levy's corner, but I'm convinced they're just wind up accounts now. All on ignore. Not having any further conversation with anyone who is not fully Levy/ENIC out.

Why would we help him to help himself again?

It’s not outrageous he is their manager under contract. We would do the same probably more so. A manager is the most important individual at a club, if he is good like Poch was it will transform us next season.

We could have gotten Poch for free, have given Naglesmann his DoF choice but no apparently Slot is the main guy. The man we build the future around and now we have flunked it. This is exactly why we fail because we have no plan.

For the want of £20m for our first choice we could end up with Brendan Rogers and be back here after another 12-18 post sacking.

A very big IF. This is a guy who couldn't get past Mourinho. Twice!! And we all know how highly Spurs fans regard Mourinho after his time here :mourshock:

I think we've dodged a bullet tbh. I would rather question the club for actually pursuing this guy, that is a bigger concern. Enic have to go!!!

Just go and get fucking Potter.

Not sexy, not orgasmic. Won’t be a thrills and spills revolution, but would be a very sensible evolutionary option. Won’t spend every week pissing his pants to the press or just get on with coaching footballers and trying to improve them. We might have a couple of years outside the Champions League but at least we’ll have a team. That’s had a couple of years proper coaching in something other than a fucking bus park.
The absolute most important thing for the next manager to have in order to stay in the job by Christmas, let alone succeed in any broader sense, is credibility. Inside and outside the dressing room.

As we saw with Nuno, if you don't have credibility, you never even really begin the job in the first place. Nuno held the title of Tottenham Manager, but he never occupied the role, not really.

The area in which Potter is most deficient as a candidate, whatever his strengths, is exactly that credibility. He's just failed at Chelsea where he was a deer in headlights within 5 minutes of stepping into the big club spotlight.

I don't see it at all.

Agreed. Potter is tarnished right now and will have to take a step back down to earn another crack at a big club.

You guys have to see the Feyenoord perpective: from 2024 the money earned by playing Champions League will more than double. This means starting fee only(!) of around 80 mln. In the Dutch league we will have 3 CL spots from next season on.

That being said, Arne Slot and his great staff will be key to achieve further results. results that will earn Feyenoord much more money than - let’s say - 7mln Euro that Tottenham was offering for our technical staff. For Feyenoord that would be the most stupid thing to do: we have to continue the success we have and become champions again or at least have to finish second or thirth. That will make us a lot more money.

It’s kinda simple. What where Tottenham guys thinking?!

Apparently he is off to Nice

Not sure Potter would take the job tbh. He just got a huge payout from Boehley and suffered through a massively dysfunctional situation. Maybe doesn’t want to suffer more dysfunctional ownership.

Redknapp was a somewhat unique situation for Levy though. We were in real danger of relegation.
Levy even backed the fuck out of him in the January window, to make sure we stayed up.

I'd say that would be the only time he might go for a currently employed coach again and pay the release clause.
Let's not forget that Ramos and Redknapp appointments took place "3 decades" ago now. (00's 10's and now 20's)
The only coach since then we have paid for is Poch and that was mega opportunistic and 2nd choice,

We didn't pay compensation for Mourinho and Conte but we did pay them up to 15 mill a year which is not small peanuts. Not many managers in the world were earning more than that. Paying 10 mill compensation for Slot and 6 mill a year over 3 years is kind of the same overall as a package. So money is not always the problem.

Paying 20 mill to buyout Slot would have been just as wrong as paying 40 mill for Porro and 60 mill for Ndombele. We are a badly run football club in terms of wasting money on the wrong managers and the wrong players. No efficiency whatsoever.

We don't think the asking price was too high.

Our chairman apparently did.

Then again, he doesn't like paying for nice things. If you'd asked him for 12 instead of 15 he'd have probably paid. It's the principle for him you see. If something is priced like it's good enough, he doesn't want it.
