Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Perhaps getting a dual option extends the longevity of KDB eg Kane and KDB sharing the position and playing one game per week each
Easy to envison a two striker system in which Kane drops deep to create and KDB is replaced with midfielder more in the mould of a Bellingham rather than a new KDB/Eriksen type.

Spot on. It also builds a positive framework for the future success of the new manager.
That does however depend on whether he can play his football with Kane within his structure.

I’m still reading up on Ange and his pressing, not totally familiar with it yet but it looks like it’s from a 4-4-2 out of possession, so if Ange is our Dad does he want Kane pressing high…….can Kane even press now?

They won’t replace KDB, all about extending his lifecycle. He’s a wonderful player
Of course they'd prefer that, but I mean that in case KDB starts to fall off, which tbh he has already been doing for a few seasons, the future could be Kane + Haaland rather than trying to reproduce KDBs contribution with another midfielder.

Kane deserves to be playing Champions League football and winning trophies. If he tells Levy he wants CL football, and yanited put £100 million on the table, Levy has a decision to make.

The other wildcard with Kane is his young family, & having grandparents & the whole famly thing around.

He can speak with Bale & Modric about the set up in Spain, and see if he thinks it would work for him.

I would love Kane to stay, and his goals and creativity are irreplaceable.

But if Levy is faced with that dilemma, I think he will sell him to Ancelotti & RealMad for the best deal he can get. As he did with Modric, Bale etc.

But it is entirely possible that Kane does not want to move his family out of Blighty.

Would Bellingham going there influence it?

I doubt it.

I suspect Ancelotti would be a bigger influence, as he's a good man manager, and would help ensure Kane & his family got everything they need if they were attempting to settle in a new country.

Watching yanited yesterday, it's clear they're only slightly above average all over the pitch. Kane would immediately transform them, offering goals & creativity they sorely lack. We would be fucking ourselves in selling Kane to yanited by guaranteeing they would be in the CL for the duration of his contract.

So, if Kane tells Levy he wants CL football, then getting Kane out of the PL for the best possible deal should be his priority. And with Benzema fucking off for the oil money, RealMad have a clear need for Kane, and Levy will doubtless use yanited to push up the price.

That’s why 150M is good value for Utd or Chelsea, almost guarantees 3 or 4 years of CL which is worth about 300-400M

Their fans won’t see it like that but yes. He is a commodity that is unique other than Mbbappe or one or two other players in world football up front. Game changing hence why I would prefer he goes abroad

Reading Delaney’s piece earlier today and he says our figure would be the £200m mark!!

But regardless of the fee from another Club, the question of value is what’s his value to us? If he’s the difference to getting back in top four next season then that’s £80m right there, not to mention the value of vibes.
Trust me, I don't want to sell him. I'm just surprised that a club would sanction that kind of fee for someone of his age and with his injury record, given that clubs are mostly investing large fees on young players who will be around for a decade.

What's the issue, Kane leaves, then we buy Erling Haaland for a packet of lemon sherbets as he will be bored having won a treble

Kane going to Madrid is by far the least painful outcome if he leaves.
Yep. £100m when he's only got a year left on his contract and sending him abroad meaning I don't have to cry into my beer watching him on Match of the Day every weekend is as good as it gets (barring extending with us). I think the rebuild is probably more straightforward for Big Ange if the Kane situation is done and dusted this summer rather than looming large over next summer.

It also doesn't sound like complete BS when they pulled a similar expensive move to get Hazard with his contract running down (though LOL at how that turned out).

I'd honestly be surprised though - he's two good seasons away from beating Shearer's record and as a family man a move to Madrid would surely be a bit tricky. Then again, wanting to leave to win trophies is waaaaay more fulfilled by moving to Real than United at this moment in time.

I feel like him and his dopey brother will make a real push for Real Madrid should they formalise their interest and I think we as a club should be receptive to their offers (within reason of course) It's the last opportunity for him to put some real club glory into his career.

What can happen:

1. Stay for another season, leave for free - Levy won't allow such

2. Sign another extension this summer, commit to Spurs, stop all rumours - No news of any negotiation

3. Leave this summer to another PL club - Possible

4. Leave this summer to Spain - Possible

Most likely he will leave this summer.

Why would Kane really care so much about the EPL scoring record?
Shearer is the all-time top-scorer by default ...and that's simply because they changed the name from First Division to EPL. And reduced the number of teams. Players like Dixie Dean, Jimmy Greaves and Arthur Rowe have scored many more top-division goals than Shearer and more than Kane will score...
I think Kane rather want to challenge for CL & domestic league title than be part of the "hundredth" rebuilding project under Levy. Levy can't fool him this time (I think).
