I'm retired, you twat. Why are you still posting after you've left the forum? If looks were a criteria on getting a job, then you’d be on the permanent unemployed list.
Ange has got more football knowledge in his toenails than this whole board combined. His Celtic teams look good. Not just the results but the football looks really easy on the eye. My concern is, its one thing to turn Celtic into bully boys as most of the clubs aside from Rangers can punch back. But in this league, forget Woolwich, City, United, Liverpool Newcastle, teams like Villa, Brentford & Brighton can all throw punches.
Some good players and a good style of play. The point is they’ve absolutely bottled it, twiceThis is pure copium. The way Woolwich move the ball and transition from out the back is indicative of a quality team. Saliba, Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard, these arnt dickheads. These are players who wouldn't look out of place at Real Madrid or Man City & would cost either close to, or over 100m for any suitor. Those 4 are their rolls royce players, but they have additional quality beyond that. They are also going to have another big window. Whether you like it or not, they are one of the big boys.
Who was your first choice? I think he’s the best choice we could have madeAnge has got more football knowledge in his toenails than this whole board combined.
You think he doesn't know this? Really?
I imagine the guy will have seen the odd City, Goons, Brighton, Villa, Brentford matches. He'll know what works in the PL and against which teams.
He wasn't my first choice but he's a good choice.
Thought you were going?Come again when we’re 16th around Christmas and Hojbjerg still passes it back 95% of the time.
PotterWho was your first choice? I think he’s the best choice we could have made
Maybe. My mate is a BHA fan and they were a bit dull up until the end of his reign as you say…. I think that style remind me of AVB too much and not sure he would have been acceptedPotter
His team created more chances than you could throw a stick at. With Kane and Son, you'd be looking at lots of 4,5 goal wins. Welbeck less so.
Last 15 or so matches at Brighton - scoring for fun, winning for fun, top 4 points easily, lost 2 matches (one v Citeh). With Welbeck!
Last 3 seasons, under Hughton they were relegation threatened and playing appalling footie. Got them gradually up the table and were in 4th when he left. Playing great footie. I could see him taking us from 8th and playing cack to top4 good footie winning a cup and challenging City for title.
He knows the PL well now.
Good record wherever he's been (barring Chavs) and a great record in Sweden. Got their equivalent of Macclesfield to the PL and a cup win.
Very good at making the best of what he's got. Develops kids well too I think. Decent bloke too.
I'm happy with Ange, would have been ecstatic with Potter.
Maybe I'm imagining it , but didn't he snub us any way a few years back as apparently we weren't a "top 4 " club! maybe he should stick to Mid table after his Chav spell any way.......Potter

That was probably an indirect way of saying he didn’t want to work with LevyMaybe I'm imagining it , but didn't he snub us any way a few years back as apparently we weren't a "top 4 " club! maybe he should stick to Mid table after his Chav spell any way.......
I am fully behind Ange but I will be chanting WE WANT LEVY OUT in the first game. He needs to go, the stale echo chamber should be set on fireI can't help but think that some (not all of course) of the more rabid Levy/ENIC Outers who have almost been wallowing in a sort of self-hate in recent times find themselves outside the zeitgeist at the minute.
If we're honest, who ever we appointed would have had a proportion of naysayers - Poch and the idea that second spells never work out well, Luis Enrique hasn't managed a club team for ages and even then it was Messi making him look good, Nagelsmann was a loose cannon, a bit of a weirdo and would have left us sharpish as soon as a bigger outfit lifted its skirt, Potter was another Chav reject, Brendan Rodgers was... well... Brendan Rodgers.
I'm not looking to excuse or deflect from our Chairman's appalling stewardship for a single second. It's just that the story of the day is a new and seemingly hugely likeable face in charge of the team who is known for his attacking philosophy. For me that's enough to press pause on angry fist-shaking, however temporarily, and dare to feel a little bit good about your team for a bit.
Fast forward to the start of August, Harry's about to leave and no one of note has been signed and the howling and gnashing of teeth will be fully justified, but as Doris sang, the future's not ours to see.
