How so? Paratici is a football expert. His eye is better than Levy’s. We started to make better transfers once he came to the club. He knows the game.
We can’t go back to the days of Levy buying fatties like Ndombele because they played well against City in one game. This is what we are in danger of doing until we have a DoF.

FR seems like he gets most of his info from agents and this Maddison story comes off as agent and Leicester driven from the start of the summer.
Tbh if we get Maddison he's a quality player, if Newcastle get him that spunks 50m of their budget and we can get 2 of 3 from Scott, Hatate, Lee Kang-In.
Maddison is more ready this season but Scott and Hatate sets you up for years.

No wonder we haven’t got a new director of football in yet, they’ve probably sat down with levy, looked at the amount of work that needs doing and said fuck that. It’s a huge job for a new bloke to come in and undertake. It’s going to take another couple of summer transfer windows to sort this squad out unless we are hugely lucky. Got to find buyers and generate fees (for purchases) for a lot of players there. One bit of good news though is that the wage bill should be freed up quite a bit but one concern is the old excuse of us needing to sell to buy, which just doesn’t wholly wash any more with all the other income we generate and the tv money.
For the 433 that Ange likes we need new attacking number 8s. Maddison would be brilliant if fit imo.

Everything I read about NDomele suggests he's a guy who has always struggled with motivation and fitness. His talent is unquestionable, but he doesn't have the drive to be a top athlete - which is what outfield players have to be in the modern era.
To be fair to the club, no-one could have forseen that the motivation and drive he demonstrated before his big move wasn't going to be sustained. However, if history points to the future, then it was always a strong possibility...

So much talk in this thread about signing young players, that's fine but take months to a season for them to become regular starters. The team today is poor, Ange can't get blood from stone, we need at least 5 players including a goalie to come now, have pre season and start the first PL match in August. Failing that, another diabolical mid table finish.
What I'd like to see is us improving the first team to the standard we all desire, and then rather than the "not good enoughs" dropping down to be understudies and lingering round getting uselesser and uselesser as time passes, having high quality young players coming in at every opportunity to gain experience so that they are ready when needed.
So sign James Maddison now as a starter, and sign Alex Scott now to bring in when a game is won, when we're playing some shite like West Ham, when we're playing an early round Cup match, and fuck the likes of PEH off into the outer realms before he even thinks about coming back to the training ground for pre-season...
