Question about Scott... Are we actually linked or is he just on a TFC wishlist?

Did anyone see how good Rice and Amrabat were yesterday? Obviously Rice ain't happening but I don't see why we can't make a move for Amrabat, sure he won't be cheap and will probably need some sweet talking given we've got 0 European football but he'd instantly be our best midfielder and by a distance that would really elevate our play.
Your second paragraph is contradicted by your first. You’ll no doubt figure out how. This is why it’s so important to have trustworthy football expertise within the club. We cannot rely on the Levy method of spending £60m on players we’ve seen once on TV.

That was my read too - let’s find Celtic players, an Australian and a Japanese playerDoes anyone know anything about the last two: Devlin (Hearts) or Ito(Stuttgart) or are these just geographic links?
No doubt with our link to he's agency if we want him it will get doneFR seems like he gets most of his info from agents and this Maddison story comes off as agent and Leicester driven from the start of the summer.
Tbh if we get Maddison he's a quality player, if Newcastle get him that spunks 50m of their budget and we can get 2 of 3 from Scott, Hatate, Lee Kang-In.
Maddison is more ready this season but Scott and Hatate sets you up for years.
We have 33 senior players. 2 are under 21 so at least 6 have to leave or go on loan even if we don't make a single new addition to the squad.

We were linked last year so I think everyone assumes we still want him. My mate who supports Bristol City reckons he is the next big thingQuestion about Scott... Are we actually linked or is he just on a TFC wishlist?
I reckon if we don't get him we'll end up kicking ourselves, however, I'm not entirely confident that if we do get him, we won't waste him...We were linked last year so I think everyone assumes we still want him. My mate who supports Bristol City reckons he is the next big thing
Everything I read about NDomele suggests he's a guy who has always struggled with motivation and fitness. His talent is unquestionable, but he doesn't have the drive to be a top athlete - which is what outfield players have to be in the modern era.
To be fair to the club, no-one could have forseen that the motivation and drive he demonstrated before his big move wasn't going to be sustained. However, if history points to the future, then it was always a strong possibility...

Tanguy Ndombele: the complete midfielder … as long as he is focused
Tanguy Ndombele, Tottenham’s record signing from Lyon, resembles Mousa Dembélé or Michael Essien at his best but his attitude and fitness have been questioned in the pastwww.theguardian.com
What I'd like to see is us improving the first team to the standard we all desire, and then rather than the "not good enoughs" dropping down to be understudies and lingering round getting uselesser and uselesser as time passes, having high quality young players coming in at every opportunity to gain experience so that they are ready when needed. So much talk in this thread about signing young players, that's fine but take months to a season for them to become regular starters. The team today is poor, Ange can't get blood from stone, we need at least 5 players including a goalie to come now, have pre season and start the first PL match in August. Failing that, another diabolical mid table finish.
You want Dier to stay but maybe sell Romero? We have 33 senior players. 2 are under 21 so at least 6 have to leave or go on loan even if we don't make a single new addition to the squad.
