The two are not the same. The word 'parasite' on its own has a meaning that the guy has already posted above. It's only when you add the word 'Jewish' in front that it takes on a different meaning.

Words have different meaning when applied to different groups depending on historic context and may give offense.
For example, there are several words that you might use to describe white people that are inappropriate when used on other groups. It doesn’t take a lot of common sense to work this out.

Indeed, but you're ignoring the importance of context. If someone is using a word in the way that it is most often used by society, and is using it in a context that suggests their meaning is the same is the one normally used by society, then anyone finding offence in their usage of that word in that context is clearly just looking for it. We can't just ban perfectly legitimate words because some people are incapable of recognising context.

For fuck sake, there is far too much of this in the world already - stop trying to twist people's words to create offence. He didn't use the term 'Jewish parasite', and hopefully neither he nor anyone else on here will ever do so. The word 'parasite' however is a totally legitimate word with a different meaning when used without the 'Jewish' prefix.
Would you now use this term when describing a Jewish person? Or would you look to use a different word?

That's all well and good but where are the new players going to come from, Japan or some other weak league?
What makes you say he will only sign players from Japan?

when he was at Celtic he didn't stuff the squad full of Aussies, he knew they wouldn't be at the required standard but obviously he thought Japan was an untapped market good enough for Scotland. Seems he was right, too given how successful those players were.

I'd then assume he won't go randomly signing a bunch of Scottish or Japanese players here either, though if there are some he's got close experience or knowledge of and thinks they'll fit in then that's fine too.

At Spurs he will have the clout to go after better players. He'll know it.

Fair enough, maybe I just have no faith in levy. I hope he is poch 2.0 that would be amazing, but our clubs track record under the parasite says different
It doesn't really. Our track record with non elite managers has been quite good, Jol, Poch and Redknapp being the prime examples.
Granted both Poch and Redknapp had managed in the EPL previously, but they were far from elite.

Our track record with elite managers, or at the very least high profile managers, has been abysmal. Not just with Conte & Mourinho, but also AVB, Santini and Ramos.

I've been pro Postecoglou from the off, because I do know a lot about him, even before his name was mentioned in passing. The reason being that, whilst he may not be considered elite or high profile, he's demonstrated at every level he's managed that he is excellent. He's certainly not third rate, as you've claimed.

Anyway, he's our manager now, and I would expect that it's every Spurs fan's hope that he shows that we've managed to snare a manager that, in the fullness of time, belongs in that elite level.

See what....I've supported this club longer than you've probably been alive...
That's what you sickaphant levy lovers always do....if its not the same opinion as yours then I'm clearly not spurs........
Grow up and get a grip, this club is going to hell in a handcart and there's only one man to blame...nothing you say will change my opinion on that, I couldn't care less about a training ground or shiny stadium...this is a football club that doesn't give a shit about football, and some aussie pub league manager is definitely not going to help the situation
Sycophant

At least post in proper English. Drivel and bad English is just too much.

No problem but honestly I don't wish to mate if that's ok. I've said all that I need to say on this point and will continue to call it out if I see it again.

The issue I have is that Celtic have better players than the rest of the league, so it would be more comparable if Ange came to the this league to manage Manchester City.

Put it like this, would he have won anything in Scotland had he been the manager of a team like Hearts?
Quite possibly.

When he took over Roar, they were cannon fodder for the better teams in their league. Until Ange rocked up, they'd never won the title in their history. He then won 2 on the bounce. They won 1 more after he left, with the team that he built, but since then they've reverted to type.

He won 2 titles with South Melbourne , who now ply their trade as a semi pro outfit. Before he turned up they'd never won anything of note in Oz.

At Yokohama, he took a mid table side, that hadn't won a title in over 15 years, and made them champions in 1 season.

With Australia, he took a team that again was really just making up the numbers, and made them Asian Champions.

With all of the above, he took in teams that had no spending advantage over their peers so, whilst he may have bought in players to complement his style, he didn't outspend any other team. Internationally, he used the same players that previous managers used and improved them immeasurably. He's done that everywhere he's been. So, whilst he may not have taken someone like Hearts to the title, as both Celtic and Rangers can outspend them, it's not a left field suggestion that he could have and, based on his previous history, would have.

Now this may not translate to the EPL, but there's enough prior evidence to suggest that it has every chance of succeeding. It's not as if Spurs are paupers, we've spent half a Billion quid over the last 4 years. So whilst we may not be able to match the spending of the likes of City, I don't think we need to under Ange. It's more about scouting and finding the right players, regardless of their status in the Football World. There are plenty on here who bleat about us missing out on talent before they get big with other teams, Mahrez and Kante being prime examples, and Ange has previous for unearthing gems.

As I see it, he only fails if he's not given time. I don't personally see him working within our budget as an issue, as he's used to that. So unless he suddenly goes completely 180 degrees and demands elite players, he'll unearth them instead.

And, if course, he'll have them playing a brand of Football that well all look forward to rather than dread.

Everything is relative to the league a club’s playing. Not sure why you’d even compare SPL clubs to EPL ones.
Precisely.

In relative terms, the Scottish League is the only league where he's been able to outspend anyone else. In every other league he's managed in he's not had that advantage. In fact in all those other leagues he's actually had the disadvantage of other clubs being able to outspend him, yet he's still come out on top.

His time with Celtic is the outlier, not the norm.
