100% can press. Scored a goal against City from pressing.
Can run, that’s lazy analysis

Take your point about playing 8.

He’d be a winger for Ange and with less defensive duty, a fucking good one.

Goes forward with the ball, great at reading patterns of play, great at interchange with inverted FB. Brave and aggressive.

Ange will absolutely love him.
if you look at one of the big successes at Celtic (jota) - he’s not particularly quick and cuts inside a lot, excellent technique. Obv a crude comparison with league differences etc but the example is there for this type of player in his 433.

Liking the rumours of outs with Dier, Sanchez and Hojbjerg. Actually getting them out another matter but hopefully the penny has finally dropped. Just dont get the continual Lenglet links though. It would purely be down to him being cheap as we've clearly seen he's not good enough. A complete waste of a foreign squad place.

Yeah agree.
I'm not sold on Lenglet but the 3 you mention should be moved on.

So with Harry staying, it becomes a risk of losing him for free if levy can't convince him to stay.
So do you think there's any chance levy will really push the boat out on quality signings to give us a chance to compete and for Harry to stay
No. They'll be the usual smoke and mirrors from Levy attempting to pull the wool over the fans eyes. Unfortunately for Levy everyone knows his tricks

Don't be surprised if you see players you think have no future improve a lot under Postecoglu. One of the things that impressed me the most about him was his ability to polish turds. He improved every player at Celtic, even players who had been truly awful before he arrived
I keep trying to tell you guys, Spurs is not Celtic. We don't play in a two team league and he doesn't have a lot of time to get things right. You have no idea of the amount of players we have with no future down here. Ndombele, GLC, Sanchez, Winks, to name but a few, games are coming thick and fast, if he spends time putting them in the team trying to improve them. He will get the chop quickly than you can say 2 points from 8 games.

Agree 100% - I'd rather someone like Ronnie Edwards took a place in the squad. Our homegrown ins this summer could end up being quite high with Raya, Maddison, Barnes, Alex Scott and Ronnie Edwards. Not only refreshes the squad but would then allow our new 'Worldwide Data Based Scouting' to actually take place moving forwards with the HG issue fixed.

I think we will back in for him near the end of the window when we failed with other choices.
"Levy eyes Lenglet loan deal".

Need to get them out the door as quick as possible, obviously want the as much as possible but PEH is the only one that will bring in a decent fee.

Wrong.

We’ve given Ange a 4 year deal. That indicates to me the club know things will take time.

If we don’t give him time, we’re scum. End of.

Probably budget. Look at our backline, we won’t need 3 CB’s per game as Poste is a back 4 guy but.

Stay - Romero
Stay - Davies (can cover CB and LB)
Sell - Dier
Sell - Tanganga
Sell - Sanchez

I suppose you can switch Royal to CB in a push but we will need to replace at least 2 of the 3 leaving. If Lenglet is permanently off that is now to replace 3 out of 4. I don’t think we will be getting 3 CB’s unless Lenglet is the spare backup.

Wasn’t there a club announcement a few pages ago stating that we sent both Lenglet and Danjouma back

There was.
Lenglet was never an option to buy tho, so if we do want him, it would always be after this period.

Tbh Chelsea and Barca very similar... Both need to shift a load of crap players and are spreading a million rumours.

If they don't get enough done, they have to sell good players.

Hopefully everyone knows how this should go down...

"Levy eyes Lenglet loan deal".

This is the same fear that i have.

Levy now knows he has a cheap back up plan so doesn't need to go as hard on either CB targets.

Every year we hear that we need x2 CBs.

Watch him sign 1 CB, then Lenglet on loan then claim we signed 2.

Then whilst he's there, still use the Kulusevski money to claim he has backed Postecoglou and Conte with one signing.

Feels like a couple of years now he's been in and around the Peterbrough first team, was linked back when he first started playing I think and not much of late...

This article mentions Brentford, Leicester and Palace being interested. He's consistently been playing competitive men's football, and with the hype having died off a bit should be attainable for a reasonable fee.

For someone to take Sanchez's place in the squad for example, we should be all over a kid like this.

Feels like one that will go to Brentford, Bournemouth or Palace and then once he's played a few games we will become interested and the fee will be £30m.
