I don't think that Raya is worth 40 mil on just one year left on his contract. So yeah, I can understand walking away from the deal.

He’s low risk and v unlikely to be a bad signing IMO. He might not excel and become world class but clear upgrade on recent Hugo/ForsterSame, I think he is a good standard premier league keeper but that's about it. It's just a plus he's home grown.
I'd be happy with £25m or something around that but the club have a history of spending big on players and it not working out.

free go karting for youChill everyone
Fraser Forster is clearly more than capable of stepping up as no.1 next season
Plus we don't want to block the pathway for Austin and Whiteman
Levy got this
Now shower me in likes and pats on the back for being an optimistic proper fan
NOW
None of the names that would get the average fan excited are going to be less than 40m.vicario fuck off,
if we cant get raya go to portos doorstep now
typical spurs
costa would be 60-70 mill range but he is 22-23None of the names that would get the average fan excited are going to be less than 40m.
They will need to think outside the box .
After we start the season with Forster in goal.
And we are spending 60-70m on a keeper? You know we aren’t, why even bother discussing Costacosta would be 60-70 mill range but he is 22-23
got his best years ahead too and has good passing range ange wants
we spent 60 on rich tbfAnd we are spending 60-70m on a keeper? You know we aren’t, why even bother discussing Costa
Makes no sense to me , that logic implies we might pay 40 million if he had 3 years left .I don't think that Raya is worth 40 mil on just one year left on his contract. So yeah, I can understand walking away from the deal.
definitely a case of this.In other words... 'Tottenham tell Brentford to stop pissing about'.
This. BF also dont want to end up with an unhappy player who they will have to pay for a year to sit on the bench, if they intend on putting his replacement in immediately.Raya will get done.
Brentford aren't getting 40m from anyone and theyre not going to want to see him go on a free.
Would love to see us go for him, but then we really would be talking £40MSpurs shelling out 40 million for a keeper who conceded 73 goals in the league last season sounds like the most spursy thing ever.
Emi Martinez is who we should be after.
For a striker.
There must be a reason for this?
