Ideally, this is our starting 11 next season as it currently stands. (in my humble opinion)

Vicario?

Porro
Emerson Royal
Romero
New CB
Udogie

New DM
Bentancur
Kulusevski (or Maddison)

Kane
Son

I think Emerson Royal could play on the right of a back three as he's generally sound defensively but a bit cack going forward when he's at wing-back. Udogie I'm putting it simply based on how well he apparently did in Serie A last season. I know people want to see something different than 5 at the back but I think playing him and Porro as wing-backs will get the best out OF them rather than as full-backs in a flat back four.

Kulseveski should always be played centrally for me if you're going to play him. We have lacked creativity in the middle of the park since Eriksen left, and I think he can help solve that if he gets back to near his best. The jury is still out on him a little bit though. Would love Maddison to play that role as he's Premier League proven.

Son obviously needs to do much, much better than he did last season, and I believe he will. I think last season he was having a bit of a crisis in confidence and that can effect just about every player on the planet. There's still a quality player there all said and done, albeit he is now naturally on the decline a little.
Surely we'll be playing 4 at the back under Ange? With the RB and LB pushing up a lot, and a CDM helping to cover? (Something I myself forgot when posting 20 mins ago 😂 ).

We'll need a top defensive midfielder if so. Someone who can get about the pitch much better than Pierre. Bissouma should be capable but he's genuinely been awful in a Spurs shirt when yoo consider the hype he got while at Brighton.

Paratici turning up for negotiations

Simon Jordan has claimed that Daniel Levy told him that Tottenham Hotspur aren’t interested in Newcastle United transfer target and Leicester City playmaker, James Maddison.

The former Crystal Palace owner, who is friends with the Tottenham chairman, added that James Maddison has an ’embarrassment of riches’ at his disposal, with Newcastle United also keen on his services.

Even though Jordan thinks the 26-year-old will ‘land at Tottenham’, he shared that Daniel Levy told him that the north London club ‘weren’t’ in for the England international this summer, as he told talkSPORT.

One thing is for certain, Spurs are in need of a creative midfielder because their defensive-minded set-up needs to be brought to life and Maddison can certainly get sparks flying.

In recent weeks, mixed reports have been coming out about the Englishman, all linking him to Tottenham, but at times, it’s Newcastle winning the race, then the London club.

Nonetheless, Jordan shared his thoughts on the relegated Leicester star and how others, such as Danny Murphy and Graeme Souness, have made him look and think of Maddison in a better light.

“I think he is a decent player, a good player,” said Jordan. “I don’t think he is the player people quite think he is.

“But I have sat across a room from Danny (Murphy) and Graeme Souness, who have both been top midfield players and they say the same thing that they think he is ‘top-draw’, with that in mind, I don’t push back against the notion that James Maddison is a top-draw player.

“He has an embarrassment of riches, if both of these two clubs (Tottenham and Newcastle) are in for him, and according to Daniel Levy they weren’t for James Maddison.”

When Jordan was asked ‘he told you that?’ to which he nodded his head and simply responded: “Yes, certainly on the level that was reported in the media, anyway.”

“If that is the case, then you have got two managers (Postecoglou and Howe) that I think are good managers to play for. One has got a toxic fanbase and needs a rebuild, whilst the other is in really good nick – I think either one of those clubs is a really good fit for James – and I think Tottenham is where he lands.”

Tottenham crying out for Maddison
The fact that Christian Eriksen left during the January transfer window of 2020, and went through everything he went through, yet to his day he hasn’t been replaced is pretty shambolic.

The same with the goalkeeping department, for a number of years, it has been obvious that Hugo Lloris needs replacing, yet it’s been free transfers, loan players or over-the-hill players that have joined to compete with the Frenchman.

You could make the same argument with the centre-back, the only time some effort was put into that was when Christian Romero arrived and it could be argued he is the club’s best defender, otherwise, Davinson Sanchez is still there, as well as Eric Dier, whilst Clement Lengelt was a loan deal that didn’t work out.

Spurs are crying out for Maddison, but given that Leicester will demand a big fee for their star man, then it’s pretty obvious that he won’t go to north London.
Simon Jordan has a weird relationship with Levy.

It’s like he’s trying to either defend him or impress him.

I agree he didn't live up to the hype last season, but I thought Bissouma looked much better in the last few weeks of the season, after a combination of injuries and Conte kept him out of the side for long periods prior to that. If he gets back to his best, he could well be that CDM player. Alternatively, I could see Bentancur playing there. Different sort of player, but quite press-resistant and capable of changing the pace and/or direction of the game - not a patch on the god that was Dembele obviously, but surely the nearest thing we've had since... At a push, Skipp could even fill in there (though obviously not as good an option).

For me, we have far bigger concerns than CDM this summer.

We do, but every good side has a quality defensive midfielder. Pierre is decent but obviously not top class. Bissouma, who knows what we'll get from him next season. So I think it's somewhere we can definitely improve.

Would this guy be looking at every goal conceded for any other keeper?

Has he done his analysis for Lloris? Or Raya?

Has he fuck.

I get that people are pissed at Levy but sim it at Levy then.

Do they think it helps anyone to be a toxic cunt before the player even arrives?

He pushes back because he knows what it's like to be an owner of a club.

When he was chairman it was well documented that he hated Levy particularly because of the John Bostock affair, it really put his nose out of joint.

But I think he just respects him and defends his position particularly when loads of Spurs fans come on there to moan about him
