Maybe levy doesn't see it as devaluing.Van de Ven’s salary is £20k per week so, yes, I’m sure Levy is going to devalue a 2 billion pound asset for a Kane week’s pay packet — even if the differential were maintained.

Vicario
Royal Romero Van De Ven Davies
Bissouma
Kulusevski Maddison
Porro Kane Son
Davies is a sore thumb, that's a pretty speculative position shift for both Kulu and Porro, but I dunno, maybe just about getting there?
Well with Bissouma anchoring them.No chance we could ever go into games with a Kulusevski/Maddison central midfield.
I'd take that too but in this instance was only 2 options available, hypothetically.
The first 11 on paper selections are irrelevant. Be lucky to have them all available for more than two games per season but yeah that 11 is decentVicario

van de Ven coming in to play hybrid left back when we play Porro at RB in games (and then using Emerson as RB when Udogie starts) would be such brilliant business.
It also means in some games, Ange can quite easily play his 3 at the back formation with van de Ven, Romero and Tapsoba as centre backs with Udogie and Porro playing more advanced.
It's exciting to be linked with genuine good young talent, but I do think it's going to be one or the other. I am happy with either of them. I do think van de Ven has more upside being younger, left footed and capable of playing both centre back and left back.
Exactly - over half the side are defensive players, not like those two are Neymar and Mbappe standing about not trackingWell with Bissouma anchoring them.
Those guys are the creative fulcrums of the team.
i dont expect davies to play over udogie i got a feeling we promised him game time this seasonVicario

I'm just trying to make my way to an Ange team out of our squad. The first 11 on paper selections are irrelevant. Be lucky to have them all available for more than two games per season but yeah that 11 is decent
I always remember Jol taking about englands obsession with starting 11’s and he said the formation is two blocks- A 442 can be an 8-2 and a 5-4-1 can be a 3-7
You’re assuming that the minimal difference in their salary will be maintained in the new contract if they sign for us. This is far from a given and, even if it was, it would amount to 1m over a 4 year contract, which is going to pale next to the actual transfer fee for either.
My thinking was if there is an issue with Romero, who does tend to have a few games out. We would have to shift over tapsoba and bring in Lenglet. For me, Tapsoba is older and likely further along. We get his peak years.
the fact we have to see if we can only get one or the other sucksMy thinking was if there is an issue with Romero, who does tend to have a few games out. We would have to shift over tapsoba and bring in Lenglet.
Whereas Tosin seems relatively comfortable either side.
in all honesty whoever is the best right now is who we should sign. They all seem good options though.
I like to have a bit of fun at the owners expence, don't awlays feel you need to be a white knight in his defence. It's okay to put a little disagree symbol on my post, or just have a chuckle to yourself. You’re assuming that the minimal difference in their salary will be maintained in the new contract if they sign for us. Do you ever get bored of the ‘Levy is tight and will always go for the cheapest alternative’ motif? It’s not as if you’re a unique poster in this regard. No chance than you try to add something (different) of value to the conversation?
You could always tell us your preference and why you prefer them instead. It might be a little more engaging.I like to have a bit of fun at the owners expence, don't awlays feel you need to be a white knight in his defence. The Sun will still come up in the morning either way.
If they were both willing to come you would like to think we could, but we also have other areas to strengthen an can't really see the club spending big on both.the fact we have to see if we can only get one or the other sucks
a team would just buy them both
I can only go off what Bundesliga fans are saying, but Van Den seems more suited to us than Tapsoba. His immense pace would be great in our high line and Romero roaming about the pitch. For me, Tapsoba is older and likely further along. We get his peak years.

we need two good cb's one with high potential and one nearly at his thats tapsoba and VDVIf they were both willing to come you would like to think we could, but we also have other areas to strengthen an can't really see the club spending big on both.

I don’t particularly like Levy but I dislike being bored by lazy posters more.
