Kane is homegrown (and club trained). Would you go HG or find the best possible player regardless of nationality?
I like Kolo Muani and Olise but neither are left wingers.
Harvey Barnes

You’re right. Although Hazard’s failure shows the risk in spending big money on an older player.Real paid 120m with addons for Hazard with one year left on his contract. Kane is better than Hazard, and while there are many great wingers like Vinicius, Kane is a sigular standout in the striker market.
Also, paying now is the only way Bayern gets Kane, if he's free next summer he'll go to Man City or Real. Either club will happily match whatever Kane's salary requirements are.
Pretty sure Barca paid 50m for Lewa who is 5 years older than Kane, and not as good.
Son is not strong enough to play 9, he’d be on his backside all of the time.A left winger.
We'd be silly not to start Son as the #9 in an Ange system. He's tailor made for it.
Mbappe or Neymar.70m with add ons is not as ridiculous as you’re making out.
I’d expect agreement to be found 10m higher for a player with one year left on their contract. Can’t be many, if any, players who have gone for more with only a year left.
IF it happens - who would we like to see come in?
In a perfect world it would be Osimhen but unlikely. Gettable options could be Vlahovic, Lautaro Martinez and Gonçalo Ramos. IMHO Kane might be a bit slow for Ange’s fast paced football.

We do have some leverage but so do Bayern. Either accept what is very good money or you will lose him in a year for nothing. You’ll have to replace Kane soon so it’s better to have 70m to try to do that with.
I don’t know what I would do if I were the club. It’s a really tough one.
No elite players go to Bayern? A move there would almost guarantee him some silverware, and they are always a force in the CL. Far more competitive than us at the moment or in the next couple of years.Kane will not go to Germany, full stop.
Which elite players go to Germany? Zero league appeal.
Id be more worried if an offer from Real came in.
And €70m….My money says Levy’s got more in his Vinted account![]()
Will not get him but Kvaratskheila from Napoli is brilliant.
Levy transfer written all over it. Has had a hard on for Maddison for a few windows now and loves Base.
Has all the hallmarks too with "leaks" that Ange wants him.
Could be Ange is also happy for it and it doesn't mean Maddison won't work out but let's get it established that Levy is still very much involved in transfer targets, despite all the noise about changes at the club.
70 plus add ons is a good offer for a 29 year old with an expiring contract, imoNo elite players go to Bayern? A move there would almost guarantee him some silverware, and they are always a force in the CL. Far more competitive than us at the moment or in the next couple of years.
I‘m not saying 70 is a decent offer or anything, but let’s not play down Bayern being an attractive option for him.
Hopefully they will announce Maddison is joining us asap. I love old Madders
That’s a great point. It's similar to West Ham and Rice. They want the most for their best player in the last year of his deal.
He’s already asked for the number NEIN shirt.
That’s a great point.
There seems to be competition for Rice. If there’s competition for Kane then the price will go up.
Big age difference too which will be a factor.
Kane, Richarlison, Son, Kulusevski and Maddison is an impressive list of attacking options to choose from but we are still one short (need a pacey direct winger type imo). Maybe Gil can be that option?

On that basis, don’t we also have to put aside part of the transfer budget for the annual installments of other players that are still at the club?
