Coco is unironically one of my favourite players of all time. Always up for it. Loved the shirt. Constantly giving the other team shit, and balls big enough to try shit like that.

Love him
He kept doing rabona's because he had absolutely no right foot what. It's not about him trying something audacious like that, it was the only way he could kick the ball when it was on his right side. He can't even touch the ball with his right foot when he dribbles.

A decent start with a shit-load work still to do in future windows in order to fix what is still an incredibly flawed squad.

I think they were incredibly flawed when having to play Conte and Jose ball, but our squad may seem a lot more competent under different management and direction.

There are the ones we all know need to be gone but I think we have made a lot of smart purchases the last couple of seasons and we are yet to see the best of those players yet.

I'm not as convinced but its a case of time will tell. Think we've got some players who will benefit from the system change, and some who will actually really struggle.

Who from their squad is actually worth looking at... ????

Genuine question, do not watch them at all.

You guys are the resident European football buffs, do your thing.

Bits of Sevilla I've watched, can't say any of their players caught my eye. They've got a young French CB called Loic Badé who's getting games for the French U21's, but I haven't even seen much of him.

La Liga is broke unless you're Barca or Madrid, so hard to pin it on being poorly run. Lot of clubs in the country seem to be suffering similar problems. Sevilla don't seem to have spent ridiculous money at any point, but the share of TV money which makes up the vast majority of PL revenue just isn't anywhere near as lucrative over there.

But still, as a Sevilla fan you've watched the club lift a whole bunch of trophies, financial issues can't take that away. Surprised this is all rearing its head now, so soon after the big Kounde transfer, winning the EL prize money & qualifying for the CL. Surely that's helped them out a lot?

Even Barca have been fucked the last few years and RM haven't exactly been splashing money all over the place.

For years Barca and RM sucked out a disproportionate slice of Spanish TV revenue too. The league has tried to redress the balance recently, but covid hit most European leagues harder than the PL with its huge TV revenue safety blanket.

We don't want E.Nesyri or Ocampos (who's Argentinian not Spanish). Seen plenty of them, including when Ocampos was at Marseille. Ocampos is a bit of a unit winger, can be a handful but he's more like a slightly slower but slightly more technically competent Adama Traore wide forward type, who can use both feet but generally plays off the left and comes inside.

Ocampos is a far better footballer, to watch and in successful outcomes than Traore who is just a flat track bully of a player.

Which is why I said more technically competent. But he's that type of unit winger who uses strength.

And he's two footed and can/does play off the right but has played more off the left - almost entirely played off the left for Marseille and whenever I've caught him at Sevilla he's been playing left. Transfermarkt has him playing left 177 v right 115.

Their revenue is really high though. They're struggling due to their own stupidity ... spending insane money on Dembele, Coutinho, Griezmann etc. Pure insanity, essentially ... they make loads, and then spend even more.

Most of the league just straight up have no revenue streams.
La Liga is a totally corrupt and broken league, I mean their 2 biggest clubs get a bigger cut of cash and the rest of the poor bastards just accept it.
