Bits of Sevilla I've watched, can't say any of their players caught my eye. They've got a young French CB called Loic Badé who's getting games for the French U21's, but I haven't even seen much of him.
I have not seen how he has done at Sevilla but he can become a good player. Very comfortable on the ball, tall. Failed to get a single minute with Nottingham forest in the first half of the season but finished it by winning the Europa league with Sevilla!

I wouldn’t take a risk on him but wouldn’t be surprised to see him at a top club in 2/3 years.

Sign him up!

Which is why I said more technically competent. But he's that type of unit winger who uses strength.

And he's two footed and can/does play off the right but has played more off the left - almost entirely played off the left for Marseille and whenever I've caught him at Sevilla he's been playing left. Transfermarkt has him playing left 177 v right 115.
I’d take a chance on him at the right price, he’s a bit of a live wire and can pull things off on his own. Works hard and relatively young, we have Kulu on the right ATM and I do like him but he’s just simply too predictable, and very one footed. If your a competent defender and know the guy ur up against relies on one foot it’s simply too predictable and easy to defend in the top flight.

Postecoglou follows Conte lead

It was something of a surprise when Lenglet was on Tottenham’s released list at the end of the season.

Levy knows howro spin a story. Apparently Conte wanted Lenglett. Levy and Co can be mighy convincing. They have the reporters writi g thos crap.

Resorting to Teamtalk purely because it aligns with you confirmation bias, you guys are funny man 😆

It would be prudent to not sniff our noses at the top players at the smaller London clubs.

PL TV £££ deal or no, there are levels. The players know it. We all know it.

The Fulham's, Palace's, Brentford's, QPR's, etc. should almost be considered auxiliary academies for us.

It's easier hiring a player who already lives and works nearby and has some familiarity with the place, particularly players with families.

Edit: And if/when the occasional Raya deal goes south, we can always hijack/monkeywrench one of their deals.

Not for me. He's capable of moments, but also very hit and miss. Definitely better options out there. I'd sooner take a punt on someone like Pulisic (who Chelsea only want 30m for), or Cherki who can also use both feet/sides.

I know your gonna laugh me out of the site for saying this, I’ve known you a long time, I’d take Barnes over both of them, I think Ange is gonna be a manager who rewards application and commitment, he’s not gonna suffer 70% in training. I think Pulisic is too light weight for the PL, he just doesn’t have that fight. Again just my opinion, and I’m an asshole.

If Sancho is a possibility I’d be defo after him, he’s a proper talent just ruined by the OT pressure. I feel though if we got him we may be giving Harry in return.

I’ve said previously, I like Sancho, and I’d take a punt on him, which probably puts us both in a minority.

I personally think Pulisic is a harder worker than Barnes, but I’ve not really seen loads of Barnes, and when I have, I haven’t been blown away. He seems to inconsistent, both in the same game and in general.

I think Barnes would be a throw back to our days of signing the likes of Lennon or Huddlestone. Which maybe isn’t a bad thing, I dunno, I think the best to hope for is signing the players the manager wants.

For some reason I fell like I’m back at the Jol days, kinda underrated manager with a massive personality. Il take that over the supposed gaurantee of a trophy, with Jose and Conte.

Lennon and Huddleston were young and cheap, Barnes is 25 and would cost about 30m apparently.

I don't rate him much at all, would prefer Solomon.
