This is the bit I don't understand with those not happy with this transfer. Its a low priority position at the moment and I would much rather we get Solomon on a free if it means we have more to spend at CB.
Plus he looked decent for Fulham at times last year.

Sections of this fanbase never cease to amaze me, they want us to spend big money as it's signals ambition yet when we've often spent big the signings have been busts.

Not sure on this one at all, seems its the old Spurs 'the price is right' deal. Think its the first miss step this summer. Would we have wanted him if he'd cost even a modest £10m? I highly doubt it. A bit part player from Fulham and takes up a foreign trained spot so limits us elsewhere. Likely means no Harvey Barnes as well who is a good player, homegrown with end product. Obviously hope i'm wrong and he does great but as of today very underwhelming.
I would prefer Solomon over Harvey Barnes, he fits Ange's system better.

Barnes is a poor dribbler and in the bottom 2 percentile for successful dribble % vs Solomon who was in the top 87th percentile.

I don't think Solomon will displace anyone in the 1st 11, but could be an amazing super sub with his dribbling ability, speed, quick feet and he is also in the 99th percentile for both tackles made and % of dribblers tackled, which is handy for a high press. He can also play LW & RW and considering Ange subbed both wingers in all but 5 league games last year, could be a very important player from the bench.

Feels pretty unlikely given he couldnt establish himself in the Fulham team. 24 this summer, not a break out youngster. Again i hope he's great if he signs.
He was being kept out by their player of the season plus, politics was involved as he wouldn't commit to signing for them permanently.

Also, at the same age, Mitoma was playing for Royal Union in the Belgian league and was hardly tearing the place up.

An unbelievably strange signing. Almost pointless.
I'm not sure mate.

Our priority signings are centre backs.

The transfer noises were that we might go for a younger wide player and apparently Postecoglou likes his wingers to be quick and good 1vs1 dribblers. Solomon seems to fit that profile.

He missed the 1st half of the season too so that probably derailed his season.

I think he might be a good impact player without any real risk while also adding squad depth since moura and Danjuma have left.

I'm kind of liking this window so far but lets be real it all hinges on two things;

* Signing a couple of quality Centre backs (I dont think one is enough as that means Dier will have far too much playing time for my tastes.
* Two, Keeping Kane. IF this is just us pre spending the Kane money it takes on a totally different complexion.
