I couldn't give a fuck if he was Jewish , being in Israel a few times and 99.99% of the population don't give a monkeys about Spurs , all glory boys loving Franco's Madrid, Nazi Chavs , Arab PSG and anyone that can win a trophy. Most of them haven't even heard of us .
Personally this sort of squad cheap punt sign-in rarely works and just packs the squad with mainly miss players , rarely a hit .
Madison was a triumph but this sort of signing is why we can't offload players in the future or win fuck all.
I do hope l'm wrong but our present history is littered with transfer incompetence.
Barca were Franco’s club

Oh shut up.

Gil has great football intelligence which is hard to train into a player, he needs to fill out his frame and gain some dynamism, he is too easily bullied off the ball in the PL and not an especially gifted dribbler from what I've seen but if he gets stronger and a bit bigger it could completely change him as a player. We paid 25+Lamela for that potential, just a question of it panning out (or not).

Sorry, can you explain to me how you know Gil has "great football intelligence" please?

The guy has done less then the square route of zero in every single minute in a Spurs shirt. He was so far out of his depth in the PL he didn't even look like a footballer.
That pass to Kane for Kanes goal against Palace was basic, minimum standard stuff

KMJ, Kvaratsheila, Kilman...they're scouting the same players we're scouting, difference is they pull the trigger.
They're just going through a list of players alphabetically by the looks of things.

If we get Tapsoba and VDV then that would be a great window. I doubt we will get both though but we should try. I’m pretty sure we’ll see quite a few go and there will be a freshness to it all. Regarding the Solomon signing he is such an Ange style winger. I think a lot on here think he might just be a back up but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start left of the 3 up top. Saw him play against Scotland a few times and he was outstanding. Had an injury which disrupted his season last season. Everyone wants big names that is a statement signing but there’s loads of players and that just need that opportunity at a big club to show how good they are. Solomon will show he is better than the likes of Mudryk,Anthony and Sancho.

Tottenham could send 'excellent' defender on season-long loan to Nottingham Forest

Tottenham could be willing to sanction an exit for Ryan Sessegnon this summer, with Nottingham Forest at the front of the queue to sign him.

Sessegnon has struggled massively since moving to Spurs from Fulham. Tottenham paid more than £20m to sign the left-footer but overall, his time in North London has been underwhelming.

And now, according to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, Tottenham could be willing to let Sessegnon go this summer.

It’s claimed Spurs could either sanction a season-long loan deal or even a permanent transfer, should the right offer come in for Sessegnon.

Once lauded for his ‘excellent‘ performances in a Spurs shirt by Antonio Conte, Sessegnon has had a couple of injuries hold him back as well.

A loan spell with Hoffenheim went ok in the main but since then, he’s failed to kick on. The arrival of Destiny Udogie will also threaten Sessegnon’s position in the Spurs squad.

Forest, meanwhile, are looking to build on last season and will be active in the market again. Steve Cooper knows Sessegnon well from his England youth days and it’s no surprise to see him keen.

Change might be needed
There probably isn’t a football fan out there who doubts Ryan Sessegnon is a top talent. He was brilliant for Fulham and at times, has shown flashes with Spurs.

But the consistency hasn’t been there and that’s the issue Sessegnon has. Granted, a lot of the time it’s not all been his fault, especially with the mess Spurs have found themselves in lately.

However, a change might be what Sessegnon needs right now. Forest are a team on the up under Cooper and he’s a track record of getting young players really going.

If Forest do come in here, then don’t be surprised if Sessegnon pushes for this one to happen.

We shouldn't let him go on loan without their being an obligation to buy!

I would consider letting him go for <10m but add a sell-on clause of 20%. If he does become a baller then we recoup most of our initial investment. If he flops we've minimised our outlay.

He needs to play with confidence and his head up. I think that's what he's missing. Can Ange instil that confidence? He's technically a decent player, you don't become useless overnight but lack of confidence can destroy you. Apparently Conte put the fear of god into players so they were scared to try anything. It's the polar opposite for Ange.

If any of us were taking the job as the manager, we would be watching tapes and highlights of every player, then discussing with the other coaches and recruitment team before making a decision. So there is enough for Ange to see and make an informed decision on.

£10 million for Sessegnon is ridiculous and we should do everything to make that happen. He’s not even a top end championship player

He's still young but I reckon he's been given enough chances by us now and hasn't been able to step up, there is always the chance he could go up in value again somewhere else, like KWP.

If he still wants to come here knowing he is way down the pecking order, he must be happy with sitting on the bench.

Surely we're not going to pay him a) the wages he was on at Barca, and b) pay him those wages to sit on the bench!

Would be insanely stupid (imo).
