What is it with City and Bayern both low balling so heavily for Kane?

Is it meant as disrespect to the club?

If I was Kane I’d take it as diss to me
There’s a huge difference between what he’s worth to Tottenham, and what he’s worth on the market.

He’s 30 this month and has a year left on his deal. 80 million is more than reasonable.

The club is in a situation now where they need to make a decision; sell to Bayern for 80 million this summer, or keep him for one more year and see him go to Yanited/Chelsea for free…

Exactly what I said yesterday: soon some SC ITK will come out and claim they know it all

We are talking to both clubs and haven't agreed anything yet. Yes we've made more progress with VdV and it's an easier deal to do, but we haven't 100% committed to either deal yet. We need both of them and it's not out of the question, but we need a significant amount of outs. More likely we end up with one of them and then someone like Tosin. But you can't rule anything out at the moment as it's so early in the window and we don't know how many we will shift. The positive is we do have interest in several of our players so we will generate funds on top of what we had to spend. It's exciting times and rightfully so. My feeling is we get one CB over the line before we fly out and then the second will be later on in the window if we can shift a few.

Highly doubt he'll choose Spurs over Barca...and it's a bit late now to enter a deal...

Tottenham Hotspur are now hopeful they will be able to hijack Barcelona's move for Athletico Paranaense forward Vitor Roque, having recently made contact with the player's entourage, according to reports from Spain.

Who is Vitor Roque signing for?

Reports have indicated that Roque is on the verge of a move to Barcelona, with the La Liga club agreeing a deal worth €45m (£39m) for the forward, despite the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain making late attempts to hijack the move.

The 18-year-old is likely to be announced as a Barca player later this week, however that has not deterred Tottenham from making a late swoop for the youngster, as reported by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness).
Where did Barca get the 40m from?

Utter fraud. They pluck these ITK’s out their ass Spurs community. This Hotspur guy was just a normal poster and suddenly gets promoted to ITK status. Another bullshitting twat that jumps the gun and copies every Twitter story.

Saw a Brighton link.

Have a feeling everyone knew Liverpool and Newcastle were going big on CM so waited them out so they wouldn’t inflate the market.

I do know I’d prefer to have Koopmeiners over MacAllister
I think Liverpool went for Mac Allister because he's EPL proven but Koopmeiners may be a better fit for Spurs.
I am still very keen on Arthur Vermeeren, though, He's still young (18) but has world class potential

In that hypothetical; seeing as I don't think GLC is Prem-sufficient either
GLC was good for us in the Poem under Jose, but underwhelmed since, partly due to injuries. The fact that Emery, who is smart, detail oriented, and knows GLC very well, wants him for Villa in the PL shows it's not as cut and dry as you think.

I'd seek to rotate Kulu in as an AM and have one of the plenty wide-men cover his position......... Or assuming Bentancur is back; juggle the CMs a bit and allow him to push fwd more.... I've yet to see GLC do anything that Bentancur can't do just as well.
So you would sacrifice GLC so everyone else will play out of position? Maddison injury means we'd have to play Kulu out of position at RCM? Play one of our many LWs at RW? Play Bentancur out of position at RCM? Bissouma I'm already counting as first choice LCM.

Why would you want one injury to cause multiple players out of position? This is why selling GLC when we have barely any attacking midfielders makes no sense.

GLC is powder-puff, a crap tackler (potential cards ahoy), not particularly creative and soft in front of goal.
He's not elite, but he's definitely good enough for our bench. He starts for Argentina, Xavi also wants him for Barca. He has weaknesses, but not as bad as you make out.
