Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Aside from the obvious "Kane signs new 5yr deal with Spurs" outcome, by far the best outcome of this saga is Kane going to Bayern for 2-3 years to hoover up trophies and then (ideally) coming back to Spurs to finish his career. A player of his intelligence and ability can easily continue until 36+ if he can stay fit.

A lot of if's and hypotheticals there (not least the offer of massive paydays from US and Saudi clubs) but if Spurs and those PL records are important to him then I can see it happening - but only if he leaves on good terms.

Yep, that would do well.
With those 2-3 years, Ange could rejuvinate Spurs side as well and then place the crown jewel on top of it.

Just really hope it does not play out like Poch situation.

Aye, if we're to assume that Ange (if he does well) will still need a season to get the team playing the way he wants then Kane leaving on a free at the end of this season would be a big problem. We'd go into the following season needing to adapt to losing our best player.

If we're going to lose Kane then the best time is now, to a team outside the PL, for a decent fee and on good terms. Hell, it'll even give Ange a bit of a honeymoon period where the media will talk either about the impact of Kane's loss if we stutter OR how well we've done without him if we start well.

In fairness to Kane, he is wise to keep all the attention on him with various suitors showing interest. Strengthens his negotiating power with baldy conscience!

Am I the only one who is a little perplexed about all this. Why would you leave the Prem to go to that farmers' league (ok, I'm being a little unfair here, but only a little). just for a guaranteed trophy? That to me shows a lack of ambition not a surfeit of it

Bayern are a prestigious club. They also have world-class players in their team and that would only help Harry to perform even better if you're taking what would be his point of view. Lewandowski spent most of his career there and nobody ever mentioned once (apart from myself) about it only being Germany he was playing in.

Just saw a tweet from Bleacher Report that said Bayern is looking to sell Mane to Al Nassar. Seems strange to give up on him after one year.

Fcuking Saudi Arabia/UAE.

From nowhere now their dirty monry takes hold.

At least now far easier to differentiate money or ambition. Some players easier to excuse I guess

But what a fcuking disgrace, all in the name of legitimising filth.

I don't expect players to either care or to see that bigger picture.

Does of course free up more money for a Kane bid.

15 months ago, many would have taken Mane over Kane. No doubt in my mind.

Let's be real...

Kane ain't doing no Ange-tier pressing all day long.

And if he's not (he ain't), then he fucks up the rhythm of the whole team and it's not going to work.

So, not surprised if 'Ange's way' has nudged him a little closer towards the door - even if he likes the guy/his methodology.

*And lolz @ Ange wanting to take a look at Tanguy with a view to re-integrating him. haha you do that if you've abandoned your principles, Ange.
