... and an alarming lack of appreciation for irony.

If he breathes football, there is no way he will fail. I think faith, destiny, whatever you wanna call it, will favor the people who love something and want to do as best as they can.

He needs luck at the start of the season. No injuries, a few lucky wins, whatever. That’ll help him get the upper hand and make players believe in him because I really think they aren’t fully in it at the moment. I hope he gets the luck he needs to get it running.
Luck favours the prepared mind.

I'll still keep my fingers crossed though...

Just watched his fan Q&A video.

I can't think of a manager we've had that I've really wanted it to work out for more than this guy.

It's just the little things he says:

'I want everyone to want to watch us play, not just Spurs fans'

'Most important is to play great football. The consequence of that is winning matches'

He gets it. He’s spurs.

Loved how after every question he would make a personal comment as well before answering. You can tell he knows how to manage people.

It's good to have people in the game just in general that understand that it's about entertainment and putting on a show for the fans whose money and passion are the reason it exists in the first place.

Do I believe in Ange's 2023-24 Spurs? Frankly? No.

But I'm rooting for him, as you said, and perhaps more importantly I can't wait to watch.

I believe in them. Otherwise there’s no point in spending more time than a quick peek at the weekend results and moving on, every week, for a whole year- or more.
It may or may not work out. But I’m behind Ange 100% because it feels good to be positive about a fresh direction.
It will be an even fresher direction if Levy & Co stop making excuses now the stadium is built and do what they’re supposed to do as custodians of a 140 year old institution

It’s worrying me how much of a good feeling I’m getting from Ange as I’m getting the hope back!
I was excited when we got Jose and conte but only because I thought it would mean we would win something but I can’t be the only one who started to lose interest in the club as the football was just so boring and shite, listening to big Ange speak it’s like he gets the philosophy of the club and he actually wants to be here and wants to play attacking football,he also has this Strong Aura about him which comes across just from videos so must be even stronger in person,
It might not be instant but I reckon if we stick with this guy we will see a different spurs!

Yeah, so tired of all these "winners" which amounted to nothing more than ratcheting up pressure, toxicity, unreasonable demands on transfers etc. while failing to deliver on the pitch.

It didn't help that Mou and especially Conte had such a poor grasp of English that people couldn't understand him, much less connect with him.

I can't help the feeling that a couple of fluke bounces of the ball in the next handful of months will be the difference between Ange coaching us for 20 games or six years.

Board need to be patient. Wasn’t the fans that drove out our best managers Poch, Redknapp or Jol under ENIC.

If there is clear direction and good performances with long term growth fans will accept short term defeats. Issue with Jose and Conte is they are results managers, football isn’t great to watch so if results fall away there is nothing left.

we will also limit these early fuck ups if we fix the defence. The board need to do two main things with Ange, fix defence and give him time.
