Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Pochettino made mistakes in big games & we fucked up when it got to crunch time in the 2 times we had a genuine shot at the title.

But we got to big games under him, and were good enough to be in the league title fights. We haven't even come close to this since. He's not Pep or Klopp but he's the best we've had and the CL final was basically a miracle for a Spurs level club & he got LOADS right tactically in those games until a final where playing Kane was likely a mistake (but an understandable one) and we STILL weren't bad in that final! Sissoko was just an idiot...

So let's quit the Poch blame game and the micro focusing on the little things he got wrong, as if on the larger scale there isn't a whole boatload of shit he got right.

If he actually cared about this club, as he said he did, he wouldn’t have taken the job. He claims he’ll never manage Barcelona due to his loyalty to Espanyol or Woolwich because of us. Yet he’d know fully well that we hate Chavs equally.

You can’t say you won’t shag your mate’s sister only to pipe their mum.

Hope he flops.

At the time it was more like a 60-40 game so we had a decent chance, but Poch's blatant fuck up cost us big time in that game. Son was horrendous in that role, made schoolboy error after schoolboy error and got substituted at half time.

But good to hear that you were delighted with his experiment in that semi-final.

Gave a way a pen on the 5 minute mark too. Fundamentally cos he was put in a position he had no business being in....

Probably the worst potential LB in the squad at that time..... (Whilst Davies; who was having the season and a half of his life, was merely being rested)

Loyalty is a two way street, we've shown him none, and now he's returning the favour. Simple.

Yeah, it was a monumental cock-up to play him there, but hey, at least he tried something different! (in a semi-final v the chavs).

Icing on the cake would've been Eriksen at centre-back that day.

Ok, name one when we weren't...and we were even underdogs against Ajax...but name one and defend it...You could have just done it in your reply if this was such an obvious thing.
You ever gonna answer this? Let us find out more of Poch's faults.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt
Oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you were telling me your plans. Right, then disregard my previous question.

If he was a truly honourable man, he would of rejected all job offers and waited 100 years for Levy to retire and the new owner to come in and offer him the spurs job

He was never loyal to us and he was never a top manager.

I'm not sure why this is hard to understand.

A decent manager? Certainly. A top one? No.

Third in a two horse race, remember? I'm almost embittered about that CL run (brilliant though it was at the time) because he were unbelievably lucky and it papered over the cracks of how terrible we were tactically, team selection wise and with the manager's atttiude.

What kind of absolute fuck says before the club's biggest game in its history "oh, I might leave if we win". The Glorious Sainted One, that's who.

He was lucky he managed in the league post Ferguson, with Wenger in severe deterioration and before Guardiola and Klopp truly got their feet under the table with their clubs.

He started to get found out towards the end with us, did get found out with PSG and the exclamation mark is coming with Chelsea.

You just joined today and your first two posts are attacking our greatest manager in 60 years, even trotting out the old 'Third in a two horse race' bullshit.

I find that very odd.

Reasonably fair assessment of his qualities as a manager, he is much closer to the likes of Rodgers and Howe than to elite managers like Guardiola.

God, just shut up. We smashed Dortmund, needed luck to beat a ridiculously good 100+ point City team but were great in the first leg and deserved it overall, had injuries galore vs an Ajax team who knocked out Madrid & Juve but got through it with some strong tactical choices which changed the game, and then lost to a back to back finalist in Liverpool who we outplayed but Sissoko thought he was playing handball.

Pochettino got loads right during that run under some really tough circumstances. We beat some very good teams with players on the level of Llorente and Lucas playing key roles. And went in to a fucking CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL with Winks-Sissoko-Dele. The crap that get spouted about this man is on another level entirely.
