Postecoglou always says what the fans want to hear. He'll say he wants Kane to stay, but it wouldn't surprise me if he would rather he left. I don't put much stock in what Postecoglou says.

I really want and expect the club to make this a successful window, so that the club has the best possible chance of success. But equally, I want them to do the business just to at least remove a lot of the bile we see on here daily towards each other.

They won't remove it, as too many are entrenched in their dislike of certain posters to change, but a fairly long respite from it would be nice.

Yes we both want similar things, we both want Spurs to succeed, we both recognize the need in this window to act with ambition and strengthen those key areas.
And if we did strengthen those key areas I would indeed stfu about Levy and ENIC for a while at least until the next fuck up.

The difference between us is I believe that ENICs entire model for the football side of the club is based on giving the illusion of ambition. Making a statement signing every window - be it manager or player to wow us and make us think there are sunlight uplands just behind the next bend. But I see the illusion what it is, and you and others on here don't. And that's where the aggravation crops up.
Both sides get defensive, chuck around insults and infuriate the Admin.

I think this is all directly tied to transfers and can be discussed in this thread but others disagree, therefore that's the last I'll say of it on this thread.

Last season we had a touring squad of 28 players (including half a dozen youngsters to evaluate)

ATM we have a first team squad of around 31 players - to which we would add say 6 youngsters.

Logically we leave some players behind saying it 'allows them to complete discussions with other clubs' (as we did with Danny Rose for instance) .... but still means a touring party likely to be of over 30 players ......... for 2 games ?

30 - of which at least 10 will be completely disengaged and actively seeking moves and speaking to agents on which country and club they might go to next.

What a shitshow

This has Paratici's fingerprints all over it. He will be ITK on contracts, financials, agent demands etc....

Who needs an actual DoF when you can pay Paratici as a consultant? Doing wot he does best: exploiting his insider knowledge to get deals done.

I note Paratici has got enough time on his hands to consult for Sampdoria too....
