Definitely wouldn’t mind Connor Gallagher as Hojbjerg’s replacement. I’ve said earlier in the summer that I wanted Maxence Caqueret to replace him, but Gallagher is actually pretty similar in profile to him. Caqueret is more technical and agile though, whereas Gallagher has much more of an engine. I feel like Gallagher has the potential to even play as Ange’s lone 6, as well as in a double pivot if needed.

Just hope that they don’t pay anything over 40 million
Forget the price, he will be here ten years. We should get 20M for Hoj

Kane replacement?

Jonathan motherfucking David please.

Really dont rate him at all, he is ok maybe average , a lot of the time there is a lot of huff and puff about with nothing at end it.

Plus he is a MAJOR Hardcore Chavscum , actually his whole family are major hardcore chavscum supporters, plus he has a face you want to punch although being a chavscum diehard fan explains that anyway.
Agree about the face you want to punch. Did not realise his family were massive Chelsea Fans

With Jonathan Tah's release clause ending at Leverkusen yesterday, you'd think we'd have lobbed our first offer on Tapsoba this morning. Hope we start to get more reports on those negotiations shortly.

Ali Gold said yesterday that we could run into visa issues with any foreign players we bring in and try to get on Friday's flight. He said Lenglet was signed the week of the South Korea trip last year and his visa was not completed in time for him to make that trip.

100% never a sitting centre midfielder. He’s ok but will not make us any better. If we are replacing guys like Hojbjerg then get better. He’s no better than Hojbjerg

Any #9 replacing Kane is on a hiding to nothing. Let alone one with broken confidence and a lack of mobility.

Richy and Son as strikers, buy an incredible wing forward

The only #9 I’d consider as a direct swap would be Lautaro Martinez or maybe Kolo Muani

Lautaro Martinez isn't really an archetypal No.9 either. I'd class him as more of a wide forward too, although he can play centrally, but then he needs a 9 type guy next to him (Lukaku, Dzeko etc).

But agree with you on the thesis. Fuck trying to get a 9, it's easier to find a wide forward. I'm really surprised we weren't interested in Marcus Thuram, who could actually do both jobs reasonably well and was free.
