Well, people could always go to a different drug dealer.

I feel like the appropriate comparison is the holding of a private for-profit monopoly on something that by all rights should be a public entity.

Football fans have as much power as Comcast customers, that feels like the apt comparison.

Both industries threatened by the delusional myth of cord cutting, incidentally.
FIFY

Comcast isn't threatened by cord cutting and never have been. Neither is AT&T. Unless people are going to start reading paper books by the fire and having a nightly sing song while Sally plays piano, they have more power now than ever. They control your internet signal - Netflix is doing fuck all for you without that sweet internet juice.

But your analogy is more fitting.

No one foul is voted for posting an anti-ENIC position. You can do it all you like — in the appropriate thread. Fill your fucking boots and never stop. Most of us don’t bother to read any of your drivel over there. Just don’t spam the other threads because no one gives a flying fuck about your angry proselytizing.

And the last person I’m going to support is a Saka Fan Boy who confesses that he couldn’t find the ground from White Hart Lane station and who attacks our own players for their off the field religious views and not passing his political litmus test.
That's interesting coming from someone who uses George fucking Graham (an Woolwich double winner) as his forum name.

Won more trophies for Spurs than Poch did, you illiterate twat. Put me back in ignore.

I know swap deals rarely happen but I wonder whether we shouldn’t be pushing Sanchez into the Tapsoba deal. They may actually be more willing to sell if they have their replacement lined up (albeit a downgrade) and we’re struggling to sell by the looks of it

31 players are on the plane to Oz. Very disappointing that at least one new centre back is not among them. Instead Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga , Rondon, Regulion, Davies, Perisic, Lo Celso and Ndombele are all there

I can kind of understand it. All those players you mention need to go and the squad is too big. There’s no money in Europe and they aren’t big enough names for Saudi to want. Getting rid of them isn’t easy for a club who operate like us.

We all know we need new defenders and getting at least one in is a must but if Ange wants to look at the current ones (despite it obvious they aren’t good enough) then what can we do but wait.

Yeah fair. My concern is they look ok in training and Dier, Sanchez get a fresh start then stink the place out again when the season starts

We need to releasing and forcing players out asap or the miser won’t buying anyone. Our wage bill wastage must give him sleepless nights

So the £1.75B of debt that Chelsea amassed, which suddenly got wiped out, came from the fans?

The corporate sponsorships come from the fans?

The Billion+ spent by City came from the fans?

I think it's you that is fooling himself.
I think the point is not that it's the fans that directly contribute to these things, but that it's the existence of fans, and in very large numbers, that enable them. With zero fans there would be no incentive to spend billions or amass billions in debt, nor for corporations to want to offer sponsorships.
