Harry Kane can do what he wants.

Levy has no control over this.

If Levy wants to sell; Kane does not have to go.

What does look more and more possible is that unless Kane agrees to be sold, for the fee that Levy wants; Spurs will not complete the deals that need to be done for the central defenders this team is desperate for.

The rumour was that VDV had agreed personal terms.

What else could be holding the deal up?
We could be changing targets as Kane is off and there is another £100 million going into the war chest

Sign Kane to a 5 year deal then loan him to Bayern for a year. Also slap a ludicrous sell on clause in there.
Let him go and win stuff for a year without having to play against him a single time.
Then he comes home, finishes his career with Spurs, beats the record and who knows what happens in the last 3 or 4 years of his playing career.

I'm bored of hearing whether he can play in the managers system. Kane, if he signed a5 year deal will outlast the next TWO managers anyway. No good manager would be unable to use a player capable of a consistent 30 Premier league goals a season.

It's probably worth pointing out to the Kanes that Tuchel shouldn't be the reason he goes to Bayern. He was on the ropes last season and was minutes away from not winning the title and getting sacked.

That last sentence is so true

Again we should be all over it. Probably better than most of our midfielders in the ball carrying role. £25M surely worth a punt? We have donkeys in the squad with far less talent that should be gone. May be give them Rodon plus cash? At least he’ll be closer to wales😀

He wants to be guaranteed minutes. Spurs can’t offer him that.

Seems to be a thing with more younger players who just want game time. Which I understand from their point of view.

Most of the bigger clubs can’t just cast aside more experienced squad players. Where as the smaller ones can.

Have we ever signed a player when the club were away on an overseas pre season tour??? Yes I know that deals can be negotiated with all the technology available these days, however a lot of times deals get done when people get together in a room to thrash out the details

Looking at some of the videos it does seem that most from the club board are out in Oz. Levy, Cullen, Caplehorn are there..... Munn still hasn't started, still no DoF that could be finalising deals. The media team will be out there, club doctor and most of the physios too

So I would be surprised if anything happens regarding transfers until the squad and staff return from the tour. Obviously after the 3 games Ange will have more leverage with Levy to quicken the purchase of new players if we've performed badly and he will have a clearer idea of who he wants to keep and get rid of too.

Enjoy the games and forget about transfers until they all return me thinks :levystare:

Last game on July 26th so probably fly home the following day. Levy will then start his lowballing negotiations again so who knows when?
