Seriously, don’t try reading anything into it. Everything will be about getting players comfortable in a formation rather than players playing alongside who they’ll likely be playing with when the season starts. That’s still a few weeks away because there will be new faces coming in. The formation and how we will play and getting every player to understand what is expected of them is more important just now.

Long way to go on the training ground I expect. Biggest take away for me is who doesn't make the 1st 22:

Dier, Spence, Rodon, White, Sarr, GLC, Whiteman,... Anyone else I missed?

(Sess, Gil, Bentacur, Fraser = Injured.)

Did either of Parrot or Scarlett travel?

I’ve just got a feeling if we got a decent bid in for Spence we would let him go. He’s not really needed and that money could go towards a centre back.

Got a few disagrees when I said after his agents comments, that I could see him not being first choice (Udogie) , almost everyone else seems to think it’s nailed on.

If he can get Biss-Maddison-NDombele work (for an hour per game) we might play some lovely stuff.

I mean, it looks more to me like none of the FBs are first choice but it might depend on the opponent as to which side we want a more advanced FB for that game and which side we'd prefer to invert.

As for that MF 3, I fully agree. pretty big IF but if it did work, that kind of ability is scary.
