Yes, I’m sure that Joe Lewis pays people to post on TFC because a cabal of half a dozen posters have put ownership on ‘super secret probation’ in the ‘last, last chance saloon’ to get a window right.
Its a bit like the creator Content on Twitter, Admin Admin gets 25% for each Pro Levy\ Enic post and the rest goes towards the poster! I'm not making excusing here but I made a killing on starting the Levy Appreciation thread but before you judge me remember a man needs to eat, and I'm to fat for Only fans! :angryscouser:

Well Airfixx, Ravanelli and juninho must have always dreamed of kicking a ball and living in smoggy middlesbrough from a young age I guess back in the nineties

That pretty much much kicks his argument into touch.
You've won the debate.

If I were you I'd walk away from this particular debate with this particular poster now.

3m shouldn't have an effect on our window, for anyone worried.

So he'll be part of the first team squad but one for the future... similar to Devine?

Kinda strange wording.

In an ideal world we flog Sanchez, Rodon and Tanganga and go into the season with:

Romero -- Tapsoba
(Dier/Phillips) -- (Van de Ven)
And we flog Dier at the next available opportunity to complete the CB overhaul.

I'm encouraged by Ange's comments, he seems quite bullish we will get something done fairly quickly.

I see Phillips a bit like Spence, he'll probably get loaned out for the time being.

If you don't think the ownership of the club employ a public relations company to influence the fans across all forms of digital social media to then you are naive or stupid.
And less of the condescension George.
It doesn't suit you.

This is also very true.

People's assertion that anyone suggesting some folk who endlessly post positive counter arguments on social media in support of the the club hierarchy may actually be on the payroll must be some conspiracy theorist is even more outlandish than the suggestion itself.

Sounds like he’s going to be pretty ruthless gutting the squad (if levy doesn’t fuck him over of course).

Some of it I had identified early on. I don't think it's any secret about some of the areas we needed to strengthen. The goalkeeper was one and central defence is another," he said.

"In terms of the other boys, we've got a big squad but my view is I wanted to bring them along and just work with them and get some clarity in my head and give clarity to them because I think you'll find that a lot of them will say 'to be honest it's not for me, the way we're playing and the way we're training', because like I say I do things differently.

"Every day we have together, every game like last night, it gives you clarity about certain things and there's no doubt that the squad will be whittled down and there will be some more changes between now and probably the end of the transfer window."

If self entitlement is thinking the priority in fixing this teams problems is the defense and at least one cb should have been signed by now as the season starts in just over 3 weeks then we have very different ideas about the definition of that term.

No, self entitlement is the way in which it is expressed by some.

Sorry mate, if supporters from clubs in worse position than ours were reading some of the shit people post in here it is no wonder they see us as entitled.

A lot of grown men acting like babies

Minimum of two decent centre backs is an absolute nessesity and should be top priority for strengthening this squad.

Manager starting to put a bit of pressure on to get the deals done:

When football.london asked Postecoglou whether he wanted new centre-back options to arrive before the start of the Premier League season, he admitted that it was a process that had been a while in the making.

"Yeah, I think that's definitely our intention, absolutely. We've been working on it for a while and we'll definitely try to get it done as quickly as possible," he said.

When trying to negotiate a transfer with Tottenham, if there is one thing you shouldn’t do, it’s anger Daniel Levy.

Already a tough negotiator at the best of times, the Spurs chairman can get awfully stubborn, and that’s exactly what is happening after Bayern Munich’s Uli Hoeneß publicly commented on the Harry Kane situation.

Sport Bild bring the latest on the situation on Tuesday, and reveal some more details from a previous meeting Daniel Levy had with the German club for his star striker, and it doesn’t sound good for the Bavarians.

They write that the Tottenham leader made it clear to those responsible at Bayern that ‘he of course knew that Harry Kane only had one year left on his contract’.
Not only that, but he also stated that is doesn’t have ‘any impact’ on his stance, which is the complete opposite to what Hoeneß was hoping for.

They add that the decision makers at Bayern ‘were amazed’ and ’shocked’ at what Hoeneß had said publicly, knowing full well that Levy would not succumb to pressure.

Down his end, Levy ‘is said to be angry’ about the comments, which only added to any anger he already had after learning that Harry Kane had met Thomas Tuchel in London.

In fact, the Tottenham chairman reportedly told friends: “I’m not letting him go for £70m, £80m or £100m!”

Converting that to Euros, that would take the biggest figure to €116m, which seems to be above what the Germans are willing to pay.

And even then, at this point, even if they turned up with €120m, it seems like the damage is already done.
I completely bought into the veracity until the article mentioned Levy had friends.

Rumour has been around for a while.

Started as them wanting to sell us Nelsson for 25m

Then when we tried to sell Sanchez, they were a club bidding for him at 8 or 10m

So rumour is now we give them Sanchez and 15m to get Nelsson

He looks an interesting CB but I think Sanchez is probably undervalued in that deal but could see it being done with a tad less money going their way. Would suit both clubs I think
Shouldn't it be the other way around? We give them Sanchez, they give us Nelsson and £15m!

It’s the only logical explanation for some of the blinkered contrary views displayed on here from four or five continued nutcases. I suspect even the bald dwarf himself displays more self objectivity re: his leadership and decisions than Airfixx, Stevee, LeParisien etc. blind followers relentlessly trying to influence clear thinkers

It's the few who post endlessly and relentlessly for 14 or 15 hours a day that get me. I'm not sure it's within the bounds of human endurance for 1 person.
I honestly just don't know how they do it? 🤷‍♀️
I'm off to work now. I may have a look in lunch time and they'll be here. I may have a little gander before bed time and they'll STILL be here:confused:

Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out how supporters of the club with last seasons leakiest defence being a little concerned that it still hasn't been addressed can be considered entitled.....by our own fans for God's sake

As I stated in Saudi Arabias case they will become more attractive over time especially as they will be involved in the coming super league further down the line.
What my argument boils down to is this.
Its money coupled with ambition in the modern era.
The best Players go where they can win the highest prizes and earn the highest wages. We agree
At spurs under this ownership we offer neither.
The harsh reality is that enic will never show the ambition that Woolwich just have.
As a spurs fan that should sicken you.
I know it does me.
I totally agree.
If they will pump that crazy money for the next 5-10 years, it's for sure the Saudi league will become one of the most important leagues in the World. likely UEFA will invite their teams in the European competitions too

and I also agree on the woolwich's statement. we can't compare to them as long as we are runned by enic-levy

2 objectively capable centre backs and I think another striker. Probably need a central midfielder as well

Unlikely anyway but no way whatsoever Kane doesn't walk or even push for a move if he does not see these players brought into the club.

To have any chance of being competitive we must first have the requisite resources.

Then it's all those other factors.

Disgusting levels of money with serious ramifications, in pursuit of legitimacy.

Filth, absolutely ebdorsed by FIFA, with scandal and corruption to be revealed in time.
