Could also make an argument that Kane would be better suited in the advanced 8 role with Richy or Sonny up top but Ange would have to have giant balls to try such a thing.
Kane as an 8?, you're having a laugh

That’s the concern.
Good
Disagree, personally. One season of his goals wi help Ange through the transition so much. Selling him and we could be in big trouble next year if we get off to a bad start.
The last dance would have been fun to watch too.
One day the state will do something which is unacceptable to the west and the bottom will just fall out of that market.I don't know if credit is the right word, but I note with interest that these top four state-owned Saudi clubs are buying a fucking shedload of players.

It might be though, we didn’t know. If Kane wants to go and they want to buy him, it’s Levys decision
...But he was willing to let him go for a reasonable price. If Kane wanted us to accept a bid well under his market value he was dreaming, and I doubt Levy ever agreed to that.It was well documented that Kane felt Levy broke an agreement to let him go for a reasonable price if they didn’t qualify for the CL. City and Kane’s camp felt Levy wouldn’t engage in dialogue.
No idea whether he's got any real information, so just passing on. But I doubt if its worse sourced than the Jacobs article in the Times on Kane, which sounds to me like guess work !
If its real other media sources will say something in next day or two.
Isnt this like the 100th time we've had a "verbal agreement" for this guy?
As long as we don’t have any deluded ideas of replacing him with a diving, perennially offside, erratic Brazilian with one of the worst first touches I’ve ever seen. We're in a rebuild phase and Kane won't be part of the future. Doesn't make sense keeping him around for a year since we're starting something new with Ange now. Getting another £80m to spend will help bolstering other key positions in the team

Sell him too and buy a proper striker
If the rebuild goes wrong we could be in serious trouble. We conceded 63 goals last year, the new coach is gonna play very open football, we still don’t have a defence, Richy has the yips infront of goal. Things could go south very quickly as the league is gonna be brutally competitive next season. We're in a rebuild phase and Kane won't be part of the future. Its ok to admit you have no idea what the new manager wants from his players. Still early days

Yeah, the money would help, but I’d still take 30 goals for another year and give Ange a chance to have a good season and settle in.

Tottenham are ‘planning to offer’ €40m for Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez and already met with his agents last week.
That’s according to Mexican outlet Jovenes Futbolistas MX, who provide exclusive information on Tottenham’s potential move for the striker.
They explain that Spurs are yet to move for Giménez as they’re waiting to see if Harry Kane departs the club, with him heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
If that deal were to go through, they would then ‘send an offer’ for Giménez, who they value at €40m. Feyenoord disagree and rate him at €50m, but Tottenham are ‘planning to offer’ that amount to start negotiations anyway.
Spurs have already moved ahead of a possible transfer, and ‘already met’ with the player’s representatives, who are his relatives, to discuss a potential move last week.
How those talks or even negotiations went isn’t explained but the player’s father, Christian Giménez, has insisted that no club have made any offer as yet.
“There’s been a lot of talk all season,” FR12 report him saying.
“It is normal to talk, but we have not received any proposal from any team. We have excellent contacts with Feyenoord and Dennis te Kloese, so we will see what happens in the end.
“We don’t rule out an offer at some point but at the moment he is a Feyenoord player, and he is very happy at the club.”
Those comments tally with the claims from Jovenes Futbolistas MX, who made it clear that a bid from Tottenham would only be coming if or when Kane is sold.
That deal does not appear to be progressing at present so therefore neither is any potential move to sign Giménez, but the interest is there and he’s now a name to keep a close eye on if Kane does end up moving to Bavaria
We'll play a very different system regardless of whether Kane stays or goes. If we add Veiga, we'd have goal threats all over the pitch. If Kane wants out and we sell players we need might be different than under Jose/Nuno/Conte.
Kane was so critical for their system, all of them play around an elite CF who drops deep and holds the ball and distributes as we counter attack. Ange plays a Pep system, it’s all about AM’s playing through the lines and possession football.
Therefore if Richarlison and Son act as the striker, it might be better buying 1-2 elite goal scoring midfielders. The money needs to improve the whole team.
