Comparing the transfer strategy of a team that's just won a treble to justify that of a team who haven't won a pot since a carling cup over fifteen years ago......

Good Lordy!

This place has become a complete and utter madhouse this summer
The comparison is not of my creation - it is often said by a small but noisy bunch on here that we should 'behave more like a big club, pay the money, get it done'. A bunch that, much like yourself, deride pretty much everything we do and often seem gleeful when things go wrong. I'm simply demonstrating that this view is a fallacy, these 'big clubs' who we are supposed to emulate have the same mix as we do of quick transfers, slow transfers, and transfers that end up not happening at all. It's the same mix that we have this summer and every summer, as do every other club. It's perfectly normal.

It's not really that difficult Jay. The people spouting off about change being needed, how fans need to 'make life difficult ' for Levy are too apathetic to actually do anything about it. They'd rather just come into a message board and bang on about it.

They do it every day, on every thread, knowing it won't make a blind bit of difference to the club.

So instead of actively doing something about the situation, they choose to pick fights on a message board instead.

Quite frankly, it's getting on more and more posters' nerves.

Surely you've noticed the absence of a certain cadre of posters when there are positive tweets, but the first bad one that comes out and it's like an outbreak of the Measles in here.

The irony is that few, if any, actually disagree that the club has been poorly run over the last few years. Yet even those who've clearly stated that they don't like Levy or ENIC, get rounded on if they don't fall into line with the hate rhetoric.

When the same gripe gets forced into every thread constantly, the only logical conclusion is that it's just to wind people up.

We all have our gripes about the way the club operates, but most of us don't feel the need to force feed them onto everyone on a daily basis.

I leave it to you to decide whether I'm right or not. You just have to follow the threads, to see what the root cause of any thread degenerating into a slanging match is.
Brilliantly put. What a post.

There's always extremes and you're right, it gets boring real fast.

It'll all be put to bed when we win the PL & FA Cup double next season, so I remain calm.

They're pro athletes paid by the club to train & play...whatcha gonna do, leave them home doing nothing? What's that gonna achieve?

If you wanna sell them, it's also a wise move to keep them fit...no club really wanna buy a player who's not had a full pre-season. Plus friendlies put your unwanted in the shop window.

Where is Hugo Lloris?

We have needed new quality centre backs for nearly 5 years and have either got it wrong or let it slide and persevered with our mistakes . The teams they try to say are having the same trouble as us do not say , well we have bought them now it’s not working , here is a left cheap winger instead . They bite the bullet and rectify their mistakes

aka Internet gangsterism

This forum is infested with people who either refuse to accept any criticism of the club, or refuse to accept that there are any positives.

I feel like debating with both sides even when I agree because every fucking post lacks balance.
Love the way posters on both extremes , who GDC refers to,.... have liked or agreed with this post :roflmao: :roflmao::roflmao:

GDG , Take a bow, son. You've achieved the seemingly impossible and united us all together in harmony

I don't think I've ever seen such a diverse group agreeing with a single post

Don't know if this has been suggested before, but are there any there any takers for dividing this thread up into something like'Transfer News' and 'Transfer Strategy'?

I'm generally only interested in the former, and as others have said its been somewhat painful of late! I think the subject area is proving too big as things are.
