ENIC In or ENIC Out

Just a little warning for all the rabid #enicout lot...

Spurs just got taken over in my FM2023 playthrough. Levy, Cullen, etc all out. Brand new board in, led by Luke Allen.

Got excited.

Then they only added £3m more to my transfer kitty and refused to upgrade the training facilities.

Be careful what you wish for!

:levylol:

I was five years in to a Spurs save when this happened to me. Was a consortium and they didn't give me an extra penny to spend. Come the next transfer window they took 60% of all money from sales and refused to buy me a wonderkid with 5* potential.

Only a game could make me miss Levy.

If you read the words of THFC head of business development Aiden Mulally, it doesn't really seem so crazy after all

We are merely the Anchor Tennants. The necessary stocking filler needed to facilitate their more lucrative NFL ambition and money spinning entertainment events..

So long as they keep the club in and around the top half and maybe challenging for the European places, the stadium full, and the money pouring in, for ENIC, it's mission accomplished
Heard plenty about it but never actually saw that quote in full. Incredible.

It absolutely blows my mind that these parasites still have some fans defending them.

Very poor planning today from the club imo, must have known the weather was going to be bad this time of year and still risked it for, what I would assume to be, commercial reasons.

Preseason is about being prepared and fit and also giving the manager a chance to implement his philosophy on the players in match day situations.

Still need at least one top quality CB (two if I am being honest) and we also have the Kane situation dragging on.

If we go into the season without signing a decent CB I really do believe that the shit will hit the fan, we can't just outscore teams.

There just feels a real sense of drift again. I tried to be optimistic at the start of this window, a manager that plays better football, acted swiftly on the keeper, Maddison signing but there is no urgency to really push on.

We've moved on 1 player out of arguably 12 or 13 that need to go. The centre back situation is a well documented farce where we've pissed away 8 weeks of the window. A good but modest youth signing like Ashley Philips falling through. The Harry Kane situation. Pre season games unsurprisingly rained off in monsoon season, Scott Munn not officially started, DOF not here after 3 months. Naming rights 4.5 years and counting. All the while ticket prices going up.

It all feels shambolic. Some of it not Levy or ENICs fault but we appear to be a bit of a rudderless ship. Its Ange that i feel sorry for and who will ultimately suffer.

In regard to Kane and the CB’s situation it reminds me of a quote in an article about Boris Johnson which went something like ‘’he lets procrastination do the leg work’’.

there have been many occasions this club has gone into the season with a hole or fixed the hole really late impacting our start as if we need to be generous at the start of the season to opposition teams.

Think of the goodwill built up by Poste then ticket prices rises, a shambles of a CB situation and the whole Kane thing (Kane thing to be fair not entirely in Levy/boards control but clarity required) bringing everything back down to Earth.

At this moment in time I have lower expectation to just one half decent CB very late in the window but this CB problem has run for 2-3 years now.

There are a few reasons for optimism, mate.

Mainly being the Levy / ENIC OUT! genie is well and truly out the bottle. I think the match day chanting and social media campaign will really gather momentum if things start to unravel on the pitch again.
The heat is well and truly on and I honestly don't think Ange will be taking some of the bullets for him like the previous managers who he's hired then fired.

Fans are finally realising we can't just keep blaming the managers every time.

The mask is slipping and the whole charade is becoming more and more exposed.

The deluded little fuck will oversee a 20% drop in revenue in 23/24 vs last season, yet he’s completely unaccountable as CEO even though he’s had over two decades to stabilise and set a strategy (unlike say Boehly). Any FTSE CEO showing such levels of complete incompetence time and time again would have been ousted by activist shareholders

Things are moving in the right direction,to expose and allow a full takeover of the club at some point.

This is what i cant understand. He was getting pelters towards the end of the season, he has one last opportunity to try and keep Kane happy by showing we're serious and surely one last chance to back yet another manager and it all just seems so half hearted. He must know whats coming his way if we struggle again. Its bizzare behaviour.

Unless he really thinks he can do what he always does but this time will be different and he pulls it out the bag late in the window, the only other explanation is arrogance.

Genuinely thinks he's doing nothing wrong. All somebody else's fault.

It’s not bizarre, it’s consistent with the last 23 years
