I don’t think Kane would go to PSG.
I'm sorry, but according to twitter and many knowledgeable spurs fan on here, Kane is absolutely gagging for brass. The lack of meaning is part of the appeal. He wants to go for a shower of gold before he's too old to pull one off. His life here at home has gotten boring and he's fantasising about a fresh pair of legs under him, a massive push for glory and the prospect of a bit of cupping at the end.

Who wouldn't want that?

Tabsoba and VdV are crap aerially. I don’t think Lenglet has been positionally suspect - are you thinking of a particular time? Maybe I forgot.

However he is slow and Tabsoba and VdV will both be an improvement on Lenglet in a high line.

If we signed lenglet it would be as a 4th choice centreback and he’d be fine for that purpose. He’s very good in the ball.

They make up for it in other ways. The only great attribute Lenglet has is his left peg. And that's a secondary attribute for a defender. I've seen him caught out positionally a few times last season. There's one goal in particular I'm thinking of but can't remember who it was against.

Lenglet would come with a reasonably big wage and is non-HG. He's a poor 4th choice for that reason.

Offensive football with the right pieces in play can be excellent defensively. Offensive football with defenders who are shit on the turn and easily caught out can lead to massive scorelines where you get killed by teams either better at said offensive football or ones who know how to kick long and are good at it.

If we bring in the right defenders, we probably will do better defensively. But the post I was responding to was in a scenario where we basically sign nobody. In which case we will get killed defensively, because we have either flat footed defenders or ones who who rushes out, leave gaps, and tries to decapitate the opposition.

Worried Ange is not seeing this and for ing the issue? Has he looked videos of goals against last season?

Those are good reasons at the end.

Of course and I think they are using PSG to do just that.

Not sure I agree on that for a young player learning his trade. Playing them in different positions is often beneficial in the long term, as it can give them a better understanding of team dynamics. Not to mention it will give him valuable minutes. Of course, if he's really struggling, then you might want to re-evaluate, but that will also give you an insight into his adaptability and character.

I remember when Jol started playing Lennon on the RW, which he struggled with at first, but he persevered and I think it actually helped Lennon in the long term.

A loan may just be the best thing for him, but that will all depend on what AP and the club feel is best for developing him into a versatile midfielder, or as a player for a specific role.

Personally, I can see merit in either approach, as long as it is the best decision for his development. Most of it will be down to just how much he impresses AP I would guess.

I think it comes down to how much playing time he would get if he stays

He's a versatile player, playing no 10, RW (for E u20's) and most forward in a CM3 - he's yet to show the defensive discipline to play as another of the CM's although I think he has most of the attributes (even down to a hard tackle - as a 17 year old he had Drinkwater playing for Chelsea u21's as an over age player for toast when Drinkwater took liberties.

So he'd definitely be a good player in the squad - but with Bisssouma, possible Hojbjerg replacement, Skipp, Sarr and a returning Bentancur (5 players for 3 positions already plus Maddison and Lulusevski could play there ......... with no europe so mainly playing PL once a week plus League Cup........

A decent Championship loan - and I think he'd get that - with more minutes would help him

With three weeks before the season we seem to be continuing the policy of changing the manager and hoping he gets a tune out of mostly the same squad of players .I know it's not straight forward to sign a few players but we urgently need some action to get us in the right direction .

The problem with Sonny at LW is that we've seen him play in that position last season (i.e. wide and far from goal, expected to carry the ball) and it's not been good. We may need to move him to CF.
He wasn't at his best for sure, but Sonny had said he had played almost the half of season with an injury. He had surgery to try and rectify the problem during the off season. He had played LW before with Success. I believe he can do it again.

Makes me laugh when I see posters saying ‘Kane wouldn’t go to PSG, or wouldn’t to club x etc’

How the fuck would you know!? You spoken with him?

Sit down and behave

Y’all acting like you in Kanes inner most circle of trusted friends 🤣🤣😭

I feel his sole reason for wanting to leave us to get winners medals in his collection. Had he won a couple with us I reckon he'd have been a one club man for life.

As a result, I'm not sure that he'd be too bothered about which club he went to, the result will still be the same. What may sway it for him is which he thinks is most likely to win the CL. In recent years, PSG have been just as likely to win the CL as Bayern, possibly even moreso.

I also expect a lot of his decision will be influenced by his Wife and, in fairness, Paris likely has more to offer, in the way of a multi millionaires lifestyle, than Munich does.
I dunno.

I think people are underestimating Bayern. They are a legitimate super club and the Allianz arena is fucking amazing. At least you have Dortmund in the league too, so there’s some element of competition. 4 year contract. That’ll be 3 or 4 league titles, same in cups and a shot at the CL every year. He’ll still be captain of England and have the WC to work towards.

I just think it’s a much more exciting club than PSG, who appear to be run like an absolute clown show.
