Bastoni was never going to happen. He never wanted to leave Inter Milan.

Definitely think we probably could have got Skriniar though. I don't remember their being many hitches with that one besides fee. A shame.

And Skriniar at that time was alot better than Tapsoba is currently.

You’re right everything is going excellent we’re a top top club at the moment and it’s all gone swimmingly.

Sorry I forgot to praise Levy for raising ticket prices EVEN MORE than their astronomical prices are right now. Praise be to the Bald man on the DARE skywalk keeping us safe, who shalt never do any wrong.

It doesn't really matter.

This is what matters:

The squad has needed an elite level LCB for several windows now.

They either can't ID one, or won't pay for the ones they ID.

Either way, they have failed to do it again.
 
All transfer windows inevitably wind up being at their busiest in the final weeks, but this year is even slower than usual, maybe a lot of clubs are holding out for the golden goose of middle east interest, so willing to hold out longer than usual.
Kane and CB need sorting as soon as possible, but as usual Levy will never see the advantage of getting things done early and being properly prepared for new season, maybe picking up few extra early pts that might make the difference in May....so small time.

The other thing is that is mad about not just paying the 45-50M for Tapsoba is that in the long run levy loses out anyway going for a number of ‘cheaper’ options just means you waste the money anyway just on more players


For eg Rodon, njie, nkoudou, Jannsen, Fabio, stambouli, chriches etc etc all cost money .
