Indeed. The fact that Liverpool went out and solved their midfield issues nice and early, leaving them plenty of time to blood in their new players seems to have escaped some people.

Us? Yeah we've done fuck all besides Maddison and the goalie. We knew six months ago that we'd need centre halves. We knew that to get them in early to blood in and get a decent preseason was incredibly important. We knew we'd have a new manager with a brand new style that we'd have to learn very quickly.

But...

we've done nothing... its a shambles and it'll be the reason why we start poorly.
It is a shambles but, if we do lose the first 2/3 games, because we are not set up right.
It will all be worth it, if levy can drag this out and save a couple of quid.
Money first, team second.

Now you seem to be arguing with me!

Just can't help yourself.

Someone will already have filed a foul vote because of this you bastard lovely man.

Your coffee mug says everything about your optimism... I honestly think Levy has to push the boat out coz last season was a disaster. I think there is a feel good factor around Ange at the moment, let's just see if he really backs the manager or if its all hot air again.. I was merely saying who I would like to see signed. Instead of childlike quips why not suggest who you think will sign.... After all it's a transfer thread
It's the transfer thread, not the wishlist thread.

Interesting update on Ash Phillips:

Blackburn name their price for Phillips amid Tottenham talks

Despite being down in London for a medical last week, it appears that a move to take Blackburn's teenage centre-back Ash Phillips to Tottenham Hotspur is not as close as first though.

Rovers are disputing technicalities in the release clause that is in the defender's contract and as reported by Alan Nixon this past weekend, Blackburn want £5 million up-front and a further £4.5 million in add-ons for the 18-year-old.

This has been backed up by The Athletic, who claim that Rovers have moved the goalposts on their asking price after initially agreeing a £3 million fee with £2 million in add-ons.

As bad as we think we have it with ENIC/Levy I couldn’t imagine an ownership group like the Venky’s. What a shambles they are.

So we thought we could get away with a cheap deal, but the other club is having none of it.
This will drag on for a while yet, if we can't agree a deal this cheap, what chance on the first choice CB.

A quick look at the player contract should resolve that one way or another.

Stop dicking around, fuckers.

It seems to me that a qualification for being on this website is to continually use foul language. Anonymous, cowardly little people who sit at their keyboards spewing out meaningless and disgraceful insults that they would be terrified to say in public. Frightens me that many surely must have children, what examples they are. Its just trying to act big but quite pathetic really.
You want some?? :wansum:
